A power cord review? Uh...there is a difference between power cords? Umm...what about power lines? Uh... I think I will stay clear of this one.

Don't you love how the $29 cord beat the $1200 cord.

I have decided to build a 75 ft power generating waterfall in my backyard, I am only using bottled water so the power will be very clean. :)

Actually, I believe all the chords make a difference.

There are two industry reference power cords I wish he had reviewed, the top of the line Electraglides and the Elrod EPS 3 and 3 signatures. It is rather unfortunate for me that I don't have the coin to drop and try either of these snakes but I have heard they can transform a systems output. I don't think either of these cords would be well suited for my mere intergrated amp, but it won't stop me from thinking about it.

If anybody gets there hands on a used Elrod EPS3 email me, I'll pay for an audition.

I wish he would have included the Signal Cable PC's. They seem to be one of the popular PC's and they're not cost prohibitive. Interesting read though. Thanks!

Ah, it worked this time. I must say that is a very well done review, one of the best I've read in along time. I only wish it was done with regular gear instead of headphone gear. Oh well, still a great review.

I noted with great pleasure that the gentleman has this right, it starts with the source.

"Where Should I Put My Best Power Cord?
Put it on your source. It all flows downstream, to the extent you can improve the performance of your source, you can improve the performance the rest of the signal chain."

This guy has two reviews a selling review and a listening review. It looks like he really pissed off one of the guys he sold a cable to be great and his review said something different. I am not putting much stock in this one.

My problem there is, my source would have to be modded in order to do that. I have my best PC on my pre for now, until I get a new source(most likely the Jolida or Ah!).

Useful to me if only because of the names of some of the cords available. The methodology seems somewhat problematic to me. Note that the reviewer knew in advance that the PS Audio power cord had ferrite in the outer jacket as a shielding method, the reviewer had a prior general dislike for ferrite shielding methods, and subsequently found that what he hard from the cord was not pleasing to him.

I do believe there are differences in power cords, with one working well on a piece of gear while not working well on another piece of gear. But, rank ordering 14 different cords precisely seems to be laughable. What's the real difference between number 10 and number 12? Personal opinion, really. Which is fine with me. I like opinions.
