RM3000 diagnostics, help

I am having a problem (sizzling sound coming from one of my RM3000 sats. I cannot be sure which component is giving me trouble but I am 80% sure it is the 3" mid-woof (or RD0303-2) (not the RD0302-1 tweeter). I was wondering if anyone could guide me in detemining absolutely which component was giving me trouble so I could order it. Any experienced advice would be helpful.

    Since only one of your sats is making the sound, remove the 3" driver from both sats and swap them within their cabinets. If the strange sound follows the driver, the it is the driver. If it stays in the cabinet, then it is most likely the tweeter.
