The drawer would eject and close by itself, for the first 1 minute after power up, won't read the DVD for the initial 1-2 minutes, and then it plays normal. It seems to happen when the player hasn't been used for a couple of days. Anyone experience something like this on their Denon DVD player?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

That is a common problem with the Denon DVD-3800...

    polkatese,
also check out the Pioneer Elite dv59avi. The 3910 is a hell of a player.

    I have had the 3800, 3910, and now I have the 59Avi.

All three are great DVD players. The 3910 is slightly
sharper than the other two but has MB on displays
    prone to it.

Pioneer is releasing a 79AVi in the next couple weeks
( their replacement for the 59 AVi ).

yeah, kinda in the dilemma. My PE RPTV has only component, so if I can hold on to 3800 for another year, then I could get Blue Ray and the next generation HDTV with HDMI. Thanks for the recommendation, though, Dan.
