Driver wrote:13s is quite impressive for the stock model, i have a 1300 (actualy its a rx7 series 2, with a 13b in it) that does 13.3 sec @ 175kph, it has the potential to do 12s with that kph, but i have to improve my driving.
but im sure i'll get there (one day), i bet you cant wait to get your baby going:)
The 13B rotary RX7s were very cool cars. Really freaks me out, to this day, everytime I drive a rotary and it never seems to sound like it's gonna fly apart like "normal" engines sound when revved to the redline. You must have modified that car quite a bit to get it to run 13s much less 12s. If I remember correctly, a 1984 RX7 GSL-SE(the first 13B car) would run the 1/4 mile in the low 16s or high 15s, so to cut 3-4 seconds off that time is amazing."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

why yes i would say the rx7 has been slightly modified, its been ported to a stage 3 and has a 48 ida webber on it, and yeah it loves the high numbers, when racing i take it up to about 9 1/2, and i must add though there are no turbos or supercharger in this little baby;)

Quite impressive there, Driver. I really like the RX7 and its rotary engine. So much opportunity for power. Sounds like you've found how to unleash it. You know what you're making at the crank or wheels?George Grand wrote: »

They were 135 hp from the factory in '84. I think she has the next gen car though, and they might have bumped it up a little for the newer car. The major drawbacks to the rotary engines are....1, their lack of torque and 2, they really weren't very easy on the fuel, especially considering their size and weight."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
CAUSE I SPEAK OF THE POMPITIOUS OF LOVE" -
Yeah, fuel consumption and mainly emissions is why they never really caught on. But they have three power strokes for every one power stroke in a convention four-stroke engine. That's pretty wicked.George Grand wrote: »

no no no i dont have the the next gen car, its an 82 which came out with a 12a, but i had a mild conversion done and placed a 13b n/a engine in its place, as for fuel consumption, who cares, and there is no lack of torque, granted its not as much as a v8 but it still has a decent amount of toruqe. the engine is far from factory, but its still just an old 13b with a port job, ida, and a good exhaust. i love my car.

Rant on FedEX:
Thursday morning it was discovered a pulley spacer was missing. Saleen "overnights" the spacer via Fed Ex with expected delivery at 3 pm Friday. Friday no spacer. Saturday no spacer. Just showed up today. My mechanic asked the FedEx guy what the hold up was, and the delivery guy had no clue it was an "overnight" package until my mechanic pointed it out to him. What a joke, my car should have been done 3 days ago. /rant
Anyway, she's gettin' tuned tonight, woohoo woohoo! -
Awesome! So that means it'll then be done! Then you've gotta post movies of you doin' 30 foot burn outs!!!

373RWHP (423HP at the crank, using 12%) at only 3.5-4lbs boost with 91 octane...
344RWTQ (391TQ at the crank)
Best thing is a lot of torque available at only 2500rpms.
She'll go back in the shop next week for final tweaking.
I really hate speed limits now. -
Man. That's wicked. You'll be having a blast sliding that rear end around in those corners!George Grand wrote: »

Added 39# injectors and a 90mm mass air sensor, so I could manage my air/fuel ratio better. The cars that come stock with the Saleen supercharger run dangerously lean in the upper RPM's.
Exhaust is stock but I would like to change it. -

dag-burnit!!! this morning my '94 camaro z-28 got smoked by a friggin' mustang cobra svt. gave the dude props at the next stop light, but still made for a sorrow-filled day. not to whine but my engine is TIRED! i've dogged on it so badly. it's nearly stock trim so i don't feel too bad. my performance feels hindered. kinda like i have an exhause restriction type of feeling.

Look for a used '01 or '02 Camaro SS, they will beat a new stock Mustang GT. -
nawh, man. time for some 4 wheelin' action. '72 blazer nicely restored would be my next toy i'll seek out. all that horsepower in a car causes/forces me to abuse it and race all about town. that stang this morning was just lookin' for folk to hand asses to.
