    imo..its not the bass response thats the issue. The clarity, midbass, midrange response is what should be focused on...specially since you are getting a very nice sub. I personally prefer the 10's over the 8's due to the brighter high end. (broken record)..but thats my personal preference. I like being able to crisply hear the gravel under someones feet during a movie and bullet casings bouncing off the ground :)

    If you can go to a Tweeters that carries the Polks and give a listen...always try and let your ear be the judge.
