Ok first let me say that I am not a very big fan of this band, I liked their first CD, but then the last few were more of radio friendly stuff, that being said I gave this CD a try and it is surprisingly decent.

It sounds to me that the band got a new drummer, or the guy just improved greatly and took some lessons. Also the consensus of reviews that I have read regarding the CD is that Nickelback is "back".

Whatever that means? But I have to admit I really do like it.

I picked this up on a recommendation from a friend. Their previous albums had good songs here and there in my opinion, but this new album is solid. The production is top notch, especially the drums. And the lyrics to "Animals" and "Next Contestant" crack me up everytime I listen to them.

Now they need many lessons on writing songs. I think a 6 year old can rhyme as well as they can!
("Look at this photograph, everytime it just makes me laugh")... are you kidding??

Liked some of the stuff from their first CD, but they lack creativity, and that's always a pet peeve of mine. But to each their own... I know not everyone would like what I listen to.
