    Troy,
What do you not understand??? Monster is good quality wire. That means nothing on how I personally feel it sounds. Ask 100 people and get 100 answers about wire.

Audioquest we didn't even get in yet. I have had one company demo vs monster speaker wire and I felt the Audioquest bulk wire sounded better then the Monster XP series. Again no facts or because I'm an Installer has anything to do with that statement. It's called a Opnion. Just like yours with HD wire and find it to have value to you. Thats your opnion and your entitled it. Give me the same respect.

If you didn't care you wouldn't respond.

Monster seemed to jumble up all the tones and make a mess out of everything. Also sounded noisy.

    and
    Monster is good quality wire

That about sums it up for me.

Try the next size larger cape/tights set. I think it's restricting the oxygen flow to the brain.

I was at Menard's the other day looking at 10-2 w/ground they do not carry anything with just two runs of copper wire. Maybe I'll just try that 10-2 w/ground and see how it works.....it's cheap enough. Anyone with thought's on this?

Right now I'm using some Axiom 12ga. fine stranded cable with Parts Express outer sheathing & heat shrink for looks.

I bought a spool of cable (500 ft) from PE and was going to use it for the rear surrounds, as it was approved in wall stuff

It works okay, but has no tone or depth..

It`s also very stiff as compared to other wire..

I think it`s used mainly for security systems if I remeber correctly..

I love my AQ wires. I have the Diamondback IC's and Type4 speaker cables. I was using Monster before upgrading to the Type4 and heard an improvement in the mids and highs. Like it was mentioned before, less haze.

I'm done with wires in my system. How often should IC's be replaced? I have a pair of XLO from the source to pre that's 5+ yrs old. No wire is safe from oxydation.
