I want to download one onto my laptop, but I don't want one that is ad supported (adware) or contains spyware..

Thanks in advance

Haven't found one yet. Weatherbug is out... so is my local TV station's offering, as it's powered by weatherbug.

Weather.com has one, i think? Dunno if it's ad supported or not. I prefer to look out the window. I've found it gives me a more accurate forecast.
    Ludicrous gibs!

    not at all.
maybe like once every other week you have to pick a sponsor so they can still offer it free- but if you want to free up your computer of spyware- you should download "ADAWARE". It's free, it's a must and it's on www.download.com

****. i'm stupid. Here Mike- this is the link. Just click on one of the download 'mirrors' and you're straight. This isn't the basic Ad-aware program. It's their SE Personal file program which is far superior.

For adaware, try spybot, too. I'm using both on both my computers.

Maybe I will just keep looking out the window... ;) but damn I want some radar and weather specs :D

As for adaware, it's a great free pgm.

I run Spybot in an active mode that keeps spyware off all the time, no slow down here, but I also keep a pretty clean system (no kids allowed). 3.2 mhz/ 1mb ram. Popups are handled through my SBC service.

I like weather channels site for local info and Weather Underground and NOAA both have awesome radar sweeps.

You need them all here in tornado alley. I run a UPS even on my DSL to keep hooked up when power goes down!

I also run a pgm called spywareblaster. It's a neat little pgm. Spybot was recommending it in addition to using their pgm..

Interesting, I may try it out. Especially since I'm currently dealing with some sort of a virus that I have no idea how to get rid of.
