DB6500 Components Problem

Ive installed two sets of these on my 1997 suburban one for the front and one for the middle. The front sounds great but the middle ones have a very high distortion in the tweeter and very low woofer output. Is there a way to adjust the tweeter? I have a 4 channel amp and I adjusted the woofer. Once I did that it was a little louder but not nearly as loud as when I hook it up directly to the original speaker wiring. Can anybody tell me what I might have done wrong. The pos and neg all seem in order.
