Was just reading about it in the Motor Trend magazine I got yesterday. Could be pretty nifty. I'd still prefer a C6 Z06.George Grand wrote: »

Nah, I like the style of the Dodge Viper, the older style...

I like the NSX. Not as powerful as some of the other supercars, but they are supposed to handle extremely well. that and Honda reliabiity means unless you crash it into a tree, it will last forever.Living Room 2 Channel -

Check out the new Viper coupe, I think you'll be most impressed with it's styling.
Andrew, right after I got out of the Air Force, I took a job at Opryland Hotel, valet parking cars. On the night of the CMA Awards(1990), Reba McEntire and her hubby pulled up in his and hers NSXs. They were number 74 and 75 off the lline of the first year. The sad part was, they paid me a c note to NOT park them, but to let them sit on the curb . It is a sweet car, for sure."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

When you say new Viper coupe, do you mean the one that's already out? The 2005 model? If so...I prefer the old styling. Not as old as the one already pictured, but that general style.George Grand wrote: »

One of my coworkers has a Viper just like that. I haven't got a chance to ride in it yet.

No, the 2006 Viper Coupe, that has a fixed roof, not a roadster. Like the Viper GTS of the first gen."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Hmm. That could look interesting.
Sure is a bummer you didn't get to drive either of those NSXs!!George Grand wrote: »

i got to drive a 1997 6speed NSX from Foreign Cars Italia here in Greensboro about a year ago. Unbelieveable experience. It may not have the brute force of the viper- but for the money it's the better car imo.
do you guys really think the viper looks better than that 2007 nsx model? Maybe I should my eyes checked. -

Noel I love the paint and I love the front end. Everything else imo is butt ugly. I think the new vettes look better than the vipers. -
Well, that Viper does look better than the current one. It almost looks as good as the ~1999 GTS. And yes, it does look better than the new NSX.George Grand wrote: »

Not really. The wheels, headlights, and some other small things make it look long in the tooth. Newer models of the same generation look much better.George Grand wrote: »

I like that the Viper represents all-american everything. The NSX is a gorgeous car, also.
Just in a different way. The Viper representa a time when american muscle was king, and to me it's the modern interpretation of the 427 Shelby Cobra. The Cobra, imo, is the all-time baddest sportscar. The NSX represents modern technology and styling.
And 90% of the people that buy those types of cars have only one buying motive.....FLAT OUT, BALLS TO THE WALL PERFORMANCE. The Viper mops the floor with the NSX, and still looks pretty doing it. That's not to say the NSX doesn't have most of the same virtues, it's just not as sexy. If the car performed better, then it would be more of a commercial success, which it hasn't been. They have debated for several years on whether or not to discontinue it. I'm glad they didn't. I love sports cars, just some more than others. Ferrari and Aston Martin "SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Vette any day.

Hmm. I fell the same way. Only with the Corvette. ALL that performance (0-60 in 3.5, 1/4 in 11.5 @ 127.1, top (confirmed) speed of 191mph, 427.6ci out of the legendary small block), and all that comfort (well, not a lot I don't reckon...but it ain't bad!), and that affordability ($65,800; I bet that's a few g's cheaper than the Viper.) AND it has the Chevy name on it. I'm sold!!

Sorry, I'm watching MNF, and Vick just broke a few ankles on his way to a 40 yard rush.
Tubes are warm, gotta go for a while."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

I just saw the little thumbnails above the NSX/Honda image. LOVE the back end on that thing, but what'd be interesting to see for functionality are those tiny, TINY little sideview mirrors.comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

The NSX motor is smooth running compared to the brute force of the Viper. My wifes Acura CL-S motor is fun to listen to when winding it out through the gears.
Certainly two different approaches to building a sports car.Denon #2900, Denon stereo receiver, Conrad Johnson Sonographe 120 amp, Blue Jeans cables, and Klipsch RF-7's -
The 2006 Vette has an optional 500 hp V8. That should be interesting!

Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
I love the NSX, but just doesn't have the balls for the price. A friend of mine had one, and it was a ton of fun to drive, but definetly need a few more horses. I don't know if you can compare it to the viper and the vet. They have a ton more power and are sold that way. The NSX is sold as a sexy, smooth and classy fun to drive machine (which it is). I currently have a 91 BMW 850, and at highway speed blew the NSX away in acceleration. The 850 is more comfortable to drive (it's a luxury coupe), but the NSX was more fun.
Not sure if anyone knows this, but this is the last year of the NSX. The car pictured above may be the replacement, but probably won't be called an NSX.Denon AVR-3803

maybe but we don't know for sure. Right now it's code named "HSC" or something like that. They should keep the NSX tag alive- and not be stupid again when they killed the Legend monikor.
