    Woody,
    I got the service manual for this unit (Edit: the s2300). Here is something you can try to reset things so that it is not on progressive output.
    Hit the pause, rewind, and eject button for 3 seconds. This will reset to factory defaults. Worth a try. See if you have video output after that.

    Would looking at the Denon website for information help you with any problems?
    If not available online maybe I could run a copy of the #2900 manual and send it to you.... :confused:

    I think his 2900 is working pretty good, excep for the Diana Krall issue that is fixed by the firmware I linked. Also, the manuals are all available at Denon's website for download, no need to kill an trees.

    The Denon site should have all the manuals for all there stuff (even back a few years). I downloaded a ton of manuals from them before I bought my stuff.
