Can proper shielding on a speaker fade over time? I know that sounds like a weird question. But I was watching a Jimi DVD today and noticed for the first time that whenever he strums his guitar, very faint lines slide up the screen like waves. They're really faint, but I've never seen them before and I've had this center channel speaker for several years now. I have an LSiC on top of a tube TV that's probably 10 years old.

I guess the degradation could be over time within the TV. Or possibly I just haven't watched the DVD enough to notice it and it is unique to this DVD due to the high frequencies constantly being emitted by Jimi ;)

I actually had a Klipsch center that I had not used for about 3 years, then one day I put it on top of my TV and there was the rainbow. I know I had it on this exact TV before with no problems.
