Man,
I work in Princton New Jersey most of the time and have terrible service there with T Mobil. I had Nextel , sucked, as well as AT&T.

I'm considering Cingluar or Verizon. Verizon is looking like the best way to go but they just stopped there Picture phone buy one get one free deal. You can get 2 lower end pic phones buy one get one but there not Blue tooth.

I'm looking to get the best coverage with a Picture , blue tooth phone with high quality sound quality. Anyone buy a new phone with Blue tooth?

Any help would be a Help....

Dan

Im not much up on new technologies but Ive been using Sprint now for 5 years and have had little problems.

My main complaint is if you get too far off the beaten path you lose service and out west is a joke. There are whole states that dont have service! It sucked when I was a truck driver!

As for pictures and all that stuff, the most I want to do with my phone is download cool ring tones and play Solitaire when Im taking a dump.

The V710 is a nice phone I believe it is the same as the e815 though. But with Cingular, there is always the V3 Razr, HUGE screen and bluetooth

I am very happy with Verizon. I advise you to get the extra warranty when you buy a phone. I have a Motorola V60 phone and I am on my second one (after they replaced three batts). There seems to be a defect in the charging port on the phone that slowly gets worse over time. Now my replacement phone is starting to show the same problem.

One cool thing is that Verizon gives you a $100 credit every two years toward a new phone. Basically, if the phone is $100 or less w/a new contract, you get a new phone for free.

Mike- This Verizon $100 credit thing... does that include family plans? We've got 3 verizon cellphones, and it'd be nice to be able to trade it in in two years...

Oh, and as for your battery problem, is it just that the battery starts running out faster and faster as time goes on? I've noticed that w/ my Samsung phone. When we bought the phones, the saleslady told us that if we left the phone on while charging using the home charger, that it would burn the screen out or something. My phone has been on since we got them (except when I've run the battery all the way out), and the only problem I've had is battery life getting shorter.

They sell higher capacity batts on ebay, but they're essentially "hump packs", so your phone won't fit into any kind of holder anymore. That's pointless to me...

I work for Sprint/ Nextel, WOOHOO! :( :)and the best phone I've had in 9+ years has been the Sanyo MM7400. My all time favorite, BOMBPROOF phone was the Nokia 2190, but that's old school and noone cares about them anymore :)

I know Sprint/ Nextel isn't one of your choices, but it's an FYI.

I want to try one of those. I have the Sanyo 8200, now and before that, the 8100. Fantastic phones. I've had a cell phone since 1990, when all you could get was a bag-phone  and time was like $5 per minute it seemed like  . I've been with Sprint for 3 years now with no issues at all. Before that I was with T-Mobile, and while they have great plans, they have lousy coverage outside a metro area. After being with Bell South Mobility, Cellular One, T-Mobile and now Sprint, I have to say that Sprint has been the best by far. I can't say about Verizon or Cingular, but have never really heard anything bad about them.

The 7400 is awesome, I wound up getting a 5600 from an old customer for around $200, when I would've had to pay $430. The Verizon credits do go for family share plans too I believe. And the E815 also has Verizon's EV-DO service, if you live in an area with it.

Thanks a ton guys. The E815 I'm getting today. I can't stand for another drop out in Prinecton today. I looked at Tmobils coverage in that area and it's spotty as hell. I looked at Verizon's coverage and there pretty solid. Actually from my research , Verizon has the best coverage in my problem areas.

The E815 is really nice and I'm down with it.

That "$100 dollar credit" thing is usually valid for ANY phone company. I know I get a "phone upgrade" every YEAR with Cingular - basically you get to choose a phone as if you were a new customer, which is about $100-$150 off.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I have the family plan with me and the wife and we both get the $100 credit.

The battery issue on my phone is actually not the result of the battery itself losing life, it's the internal charging system in my phone that screws up the battery. My original phone killed three batts in just four months before they gave me a replacement. On the original phone, I would get weird messages (unable to charge batt, etc) and intermittent charging where the phone would just stop charging. Now my replacement model is starting to do the same.

Looks like I'll be getting a new phone myself soon.

Verizon's is a little different, you get the new customer price, plus an extra $100 off, if your an upgrade customer.

I had Sprint for a couple of years but in the Cincinnati area there are too many places with weak signal; switched to T-mobil and cannot be happier; I am paying less for 3 phones than I was paying for 2 phones with Sprint, and I've only had very few low signal problems (I guess ALL companies have weak areas everywhere..).

I have the Motorola V180; only does what a phone is supposed to do; no camera/personal agenda/can opener/radio...and yes, it has the solitaire..

Well I got the E815 today and so far the service is great. I have had nothing but full signal everywhere T mobil didn't. The phone is killer with so many features. It's going to take me sometime to learna all what it can do.

Cool stuff not to mention they gave me another phone free a picture phone Motorola V285.

Ok, here's what I know or IMHO.....

T Mobil, Not bad if you got coverage where you like to be / properly the best price point.

Nextel, I don't know about their cell service.

AT&T, was a joke I would think that Cingluar would help but the road been a little ruff as they needed to bring their cell sites up to par. A side note as AT&T was losing money their service on equipment may have been on short side.

Cingluar, Not bad but too many drop'd call IMHO

Verizon, Is said to have the best coverage / cell sites / and cash to make it right. They maybe also the most expensive service out there.

Just my $.02 on cell service(s)

I cant believe Nextel owns Sprint. I do know theyre not on the same system though.

At my work I carry around a Nextel cell phone along with my personal Sprint phone. My Nextel has "no service" much more often than my Sprint. Certain stores I work in have no signal to the Nextel but quite strong with my Sprint.

Also my Sprint calls are much clearer than my Nextel calls. I know some of this could be due to the phone but its just been my experience that Sprint is much better than Nextel.

There is no such thing as too much fibre. Besides, fibre makes visits to bathroom frequent and fast, hardly time to play solitaire. Maybe it's the opposite, too little fibre in the diet. :)

Nokia 8800 is the hottest phone out there atm. For pictures, it would be the new one with 2MB and 4x zoom, can't think of the model name right now.
