    Have you tried running the mids at 100Hz and the sub at 80Hz. This will leave a gap in the system, but if the boomines came in after going higher than 80Hz with the sub there might be a peak in your system around that range. Some people actually help tame some peaks in their systems this way.

    I was running the sub at 80 Hz before this and it still had a hint of too much.

    I listen to 98% heavy metal which has a lot of boominess to it anyway. I sat in the truck for about 30 minutes listening to several CD's with my new configuration and it does sound a lot better. The bass doesnt have as much imact as before but does blend much better.
