    I never saw this player go but I'm not feeling it. I have seen so many different DVD players and better player are just better. Plain and simple.

    Sony seems to be the only one I have seen make cheap players with nice video quality. But on a audio note , they suck. I guess it also comes down to the level of TV and gear you own to match in a DVD player that will work for you.

    I perfer a high quality DVD player. I find this isn't the right place to try and save cash.

    well, it is curently the second best out there. And the one above it only coasts around 10 times as much... ;) The picture quality is undisputed.. Audio tho.. well I am unshure as of yet :p

    So since i am only using a JVC TV that isn't HDTV, will this Oppo be a good buy? For the price, it seems to be an incredible buy... but i didn't want to get it if it wouldn't work on my tv.

    you'll have no need for the upconversion. So it wont help much. the Fukkiqkw (what ever its called) will help tho to increase the image quality

    it will work for you with a regular tv. but you cant use most of its features for now ;)
