i think it's just you.... i personally took no offense, i laughed out loud at the klipsch/horn protection suit. i'm signing up for a pre-order... :D

it's the 'polkie wannabe's' trademark to get a comment about klipsch in every post. i personally appreciate dean's knowledge he brings to the site, regardless of his taste...:p

it's all in good fun man...

I love when people try to justify their own purchases.

You bought something because it fits your budget and you like what it is. Stop doing pointless comparisons.

I could have afforded Klipsch, or even Dynaudio for that matter, but I got Polks because I WANTED to.

This is getting quite annoying. I like to hear all sides of the audio spectrum, so I encourage Dean, Matthew, and everyone to contribute to the discussion.

Well i dont know but i think we need a poll to maybe kick dean/klipsch out of the forums in here. It seems to take away from the forum trying to be humorous by bashing POLK. I think i would rather read the **** spam in email then any of his posts.

    Eddie624.

What a great idea. Should we start a new thread? We could title it "Which do you prefer reading, Dean/khead or **** spam." This might not rank up there with the speaker wire controversy, but if you wanted to conduct a scientific test, I'm sure there will be several volunteers.

Now for voting Dean off, is this going to be the official election site or is that going to be a new thread? If this is the official ballot then I vote to let him stay.

WTF is your people's problem? WHO CARES it's a f'n forum. It's not like he's attacking you personally, and I've never seen Dean "attack" at all. Just stating his opinion.

Please remove sticks out of asses.

Makes me not want to come here, and I am a obsessed polk listener (and owner).

    It's cool.

Besides -- I started a new thread with a post that I think was taken the wrong way.

They'll eventually figure out it was just in fun.

Hell, let them take their little vote. It'll make 'em feel better.

I don't take it seriously and neither should you.

BTW -- now that those LSi9's are broken in - what do you think?

I'm curious about the midrange. How does the snare sound? Pretty snappy?

Definately a slick speaker man. Having that tri-crossover really clears up any muddiness that might be in the midrange. I toed them in a little the other night and made a nice difference, more presense to the listener.

I still think my CD player is a little bass heavy, so I need to try another one out. Of course, I don't have any more money, damn! hahaha

    I think you'll be pleased.

tell me about your CD player

are you using a receiver? and if so, are you using it's accompanying DAC -- or the DAC in the CD player?

My CD player is a Terratec m3po. Unheard of, I know ;) It's a combo mp3/cd player that you can have a hard drive in. I took out the HD for the time being. Here's a link:

    http://www.m3po.com/_eng/index_eng.html

It has Micronas DACs in there, so it does sound good, but I think they "toned" the unit for more bass.

I am using an Arcam A65plus 2 channel amp. I love this amp, it's my little baby! It drives the 9s very well, clear in all aspects and can get quite loud.

The CD player does not have a digital out, so I can't do the external DAC unless I run one on my DVD player, which is a possiblity. But I am starting to save for a house, so no toys for a while! :)
