Hello all,
I went to White water Pa today and we didn't do the normal 25 mile slighty down hill trails. We met with the bike store lady and she has been biking for years. She said "if you want a more difficult trail, I got just the trail for you." Well boy did she. We took a 12 mile up and down hill ride 1.4 miles bike ride away from White water bike store. We had to take the back way out and ride down past a farm on the road to get to these trails.

It started out kinda flat with gravel type trails wide enough to fit a jeep down. Then we hit the first down hill. HOLY S*&T was it killer. There was a very good amount of rocks you had to go around or crashing was the natural thing to do. I never road trials this hard, given I'm a newbe to mountain bike riding as I just started in May of this year 2005. I My hands and foreams where getting very tired trying to work my way down all these hills. There where a few up hill climbs going in but mostly down hill.
Kinda did'nt make sense as when we ended our ride in , we where on the side of a very high mountain. I believe it was 1620 feet. It was the most beautiful scene. A Eagle flew by only about 20 or so feet away from the cliff. Huge bird.

We tried to go further but the trails where just to difficult and more down hill. We had to climb back up so we turned around. This is where it took us to our limits. My entire body was tired. My heart felt like it was going to explode. We had to walk up alot of the hills as the huge rocks where just to hard to ride around and up hill. Man the traill felt so much longer getting out then going in.

When we finally got out after about 3 rest stops, I was completely spent. I had nothing left. As I sit here typing this , I'm having trouble.

I'll say this, if you live in Pa or close enoough to come over, go to White water Biking in Jim Thorpe and ask about the trails down past the farm. Man what a chellenge. For me who is in ok shape, it was difficult. I think after a few more times there , I can ride them and survive without feeling like I'm going to pass out.

Excellent workout , excellent time. I give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

    Thanks,
we did. We are already planning our next trip up there. If you ride, you must find your way there at least one time.

Im still putting around on the beginner trails. I guess cause its hotter than 37 **** lately and Im working my nuts off at my worthless **** job so I dont care to tackle Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Hell I havent even been able to ride in forever. It seems like its rained constantly the last few weeks. Im going to try and go tomorrow after work if I get off in time.

yea-the rain here has been killer-just comes out of nowhere and then makes for a sucky day-hard to do anything when it's raining

    Macleod,

hang in there. It can't rain all the time.
