One last shot of us all together before some of us go our separate ways.
or what happens: When affection turns to obsession.
Dad now has the 2.3tl's and is digging them, here's the rest of the family.

You know, Luc really needs some help.

A regular psychiatrist couldn't even help Luc. Luc needs to go to like Vienna or something. You know what I mean? Luc needs to get involved at the University level. Like where Freud studied and have all those people looking at him and checking up on him. That's the kind of help Luc needs.

Not the once a week for eighty bucks. No. Luc needs a team. A team of psychiatrists working round the clock thinking about him, having conferences, observing him, like the way they did with the Elephant Man. That's what I'm talking about, because that's the only way Luc is going to get better.

Fortunately, both the 1.2's are the TL series, so no need to change the tweeters.

Fortunately I live with a woman who accomodates my obsessions.

I am planning a SDA SALE, to make some room and cover the cost of some tweeter upgrades.

Speaker collecting seems to be a trend. I had about the same collection a few years back. I always thought it would be cool to put them all together, sit in the middle with a white lab coat on and take a pic. (like Matt Polks ad). Never did though... What causes this insaneness??

I got my first pair of polk speakers in 2001, (a speaker oddity)
a pair of rt800i's. Then I came to Clubpolk and with the help of some of the other lunatics here, it became a full blown hobby....which then progressed into an obsession.
I bought my first pair of SDA speakers in 04, a pair of SDA 1C's.
I was so impressed, well, you can see it didn't take very long to get a collection of them going. :)

    How about you?

My first polk experience was a pair of Monitor 10A back in Mar 2005 and joined CP after one peerless tweeter went South. Where else I could get help, right? Since then, I have added another pair of good Monitor 10A (and a pair of parts 10A, each has one dead MW6500), 1 pair of 10B, 1 pair of Monitor 5, 1 pair of SDA SRS 2.3, one pair of RTA 15TL, one pair of RTA 11TL, 2 CS400. Yeah, obsession sometimes is scary :-)

my first pair came by way of this forum, not too long ago....studio 2b`s

I really want those 2.3`s so bad I can taste it..!!

I just bought a Jolida Cdp a week ago, so it will be a few weeks before I can entertain the idea...unless partial trades are considered..!!

Probably don`t have anything you don`t already have though..

I know...I`ll sell the 2b`s real quick and add up the funds to see where I`m at..!!!!!

Yes, I think the 2.3's are the single most undervalued speaker in the SDA lineup, you get a lot of bang for the buck.
Jesse will back me up in the fullness of 2.3's.
Having both the 1.2's and the 2.3's, I can tell you I think they are pretty close in sound stage.
I personally like their size better, tweeters at ear level.
I'd really like these to go to someone who would fully appreciate them.
And you'd be a close connection for the pickup.

See if you can move some of the speakers you're not using.

I'm off for a vacation tomorrow, be back in a week or so.
They'll be here 'til then for sure.

Slight derail here but why is it not reasonable to follow your dreams if you are married? I'm not but believe me, I see many women who will not let their men have anything they are not interested in. Is it really that one sided as a whole? Are all women really that insecure? I also have a few friends who are supported totally by their women. If they want every one of whatever it is, their wives make sure they get it no matter what the cost or concerns. The second scenerio seems to be few and far between. Just wondering, are the few just lucky or is my image skewed?

If the dreams are reasonable then no its not. However, marriage is supposed to be a 2 way street with lots of compromises so that both of the people are happy.

If the wallet is endlessly full, then have at it, just make sure that the house can fit all of it and still have people live in it as well.

However, I think it's safe to say that most of us don't fit in that catagory.

Support is one thing, letting an obsession grow endlessly is another.
