I used to watch it back in the day before it turned into another WWF.

Royce Gracie (sp) is one of the greatest champions of all time in that arena

Samrock is the only old-school guy I still see around today...

I've seen probably 4 or 5 episodes, but it's been a couple of months. The last one I saw, the redheaded punk got all drunk and fell asleep on the lawn and two others hosed him down with water and he went ballistic and started destroying ****.

yeah that was the reality show of trying to pick the next ultimate fighter- i was talking about the actual matches, ppv's or what-not.

Pretty brutal **** if you ask me.

aaharvel (wth is your name anyway), if you haven't, you need to go back and watch the first few years of fights - that's the really good stuff and before it got all commercial...

Definitely check out the older stuff.

That was when they had actual ninjas and 40th degree black belts in there. Grappling didnt come about til the third one really when Dan Severn showed em what good ole fashioned American wrestling can do.

I still remember after his first fight, he suplexed some Thai boxer about 20 times and after the fight the "announcer" asked him, "what were those flips you were doing?"

Now everybody is a grappler. All they do now is lay on each other til somebody makes a mistake. I havent watched one in a while cause theyve gotten kinda boring now.

I love it, and watch every UFC and Pride Fighting Championship pay-per-view. You guys that haven't watched it in a while should check it out on Fox Sports Net. They show some fights that are pretty recent. Also Spike is airing some UFC events.

I watch the UFC. I love it.

I like Frank Trigg, Mat Hughes, Rich Franklin , Randy Cotour, Chuck Ladell, St piarre . There are many good fighters.

The guys who made it from the show, I like them 2. That fight between the 2 heavy weights from the show was off the hook. One of the very best fights I have ever seen.

UFC will have a new show on in August I beleive it starts. It should be cool like the first one.

I missed UFC 53, They haven't re aired it yet. It was right in Alantic city and I wanted to go see it live but I forgot about it when it came around. I forgot to write down the date.

I Don't know when UFC 54 is coming, anyone know? Who's on that card???

That was a good brawl but I predict neither of them go far in the real UFC. Neither of them impressed me with skill. A Ortis or Coture would mop the floor with them.

That little **** Diego was good but Im hoping he runs into a world class grappler that takes him down a nothch.

The next season should be better as its supposed to be the heavyweights. Thats gonna be cool seeing a bunch of 225+ pounders with attitudes living in the same house.

Diego thinks he's the best fighter in the world. He's really god but humble he is not. He will learn humble in the UFC.
I think all the guys who made it had a match in UFC53. I didn't see it but I read online somewhere.

I think the 2 guys who had that incredible fight will go somewhere. We shall see. There new and they need to get in there and do it. Ortiz is a great fighter and your right would kill both of them.

I'm waiting for the next season and that sounds really cool.

Well, as its been proven time and time again, if you cant grapple then youre going to lose. Those 2 guys, while putting on a great show, dont appear to have any ground skills at all.

Now from a spectator point of view 2 guys that stand toe to toe and beat each other senseless is more appealing than 2 sweaty guys laying on each other for 30 minutes.

    Martial arts.....

the UFC is still a sport with rules. you can't judge a style or art by this. Real fighting has no rules. No limits.

There is NO best style or art. It's really up to the person who learned his art. The one who doesn't make a mistake will win.

As a martial artist, I wouldn't train for sport. I train for many different reasons.

I do however respect and fully enjoy watching sport. It's how deep the martial arts go.

I watch it, Team Quest(Randy Coutour) is in my town. I am thinking of getting my son some training there as soon as he is done with his TKD contract(I hate it when schools start worrying about "how to make more money" than training). Randy use to be a wrestling coach at a local high school. Very good guy.
