the marantz sounds like ... this other toy that i had about 10yrs. ago, SMITH&WESSON 357mag. 586/4in'
ALOT OF "BANG" for the buck!!

if i could compare it to something "music" it would be a "fender/strat" guitar or "stratavarious" violin!
    "very WARM & LOVING"

I get the feeling that the Marantz woke you up on your insane quest (join the club)by the way it will stop for now then it will eat at you like a sickness and your quest will begin again(not your fault,we all are screwed up).But I personally have alot of respect for Marantz,I really like there Products, solid great sounding and can compare to anything in it's class.
Enjoy your system, you worked hard building it.Ask your wallet, it worked hard to.
But when your ready, just drop me a line and I will help you with anything you need.Thats what we all do in here anyway(and kick once in a while 2).

Ps. I didn't read anything about wire on your post................curious.Thats a good place to start.....O ...after you injoyed what you got.......temptation,damn it get's the best of me somtimes...soory ...for now!!!!!

    haroo,

good work guy. Sounds like a dream system to be very proud of for sure.

Hey, just wanted to ask, how you chose the Marantz SR-18ex? Did you look and listen to other receivers in that same class? What sold you on the SR18ex?

As for disks to groove to. Currently i like No Doubt -- Rock Steady. It's funky stuff.
    PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
