    Yea, it just sucks to pay shipping fees on top of the retail price. Tweeter doesn't have any polks on their website. Actually looks like tweeter is goin downhill for car audio. They have like 5 subs advertised on the website. So you think i would definitely hear a difference in clarity and loudness with an upgrade from a dx to a momo?

    Another question - the reccomended box size for a momo is .88 but my current box is .85 ft^3. Will I have to get a new box or is this not a big deal?

    i dropped this note in the other thread...

    the new baby momo's and the old dx are very similar in sound and power handling. if you did a blind "taste test" - i doubt many if any people would be able to tell the difference.

    i'm sure things like quality control and quality of build parts have improved over the dx with the new momo, but if your dx is still working fine, the only reason to switch to a single momo would be...

    1- you changed all the rest of the stuff in your car to momo and want it all to match.
    2- you accidently put a screwdriver through the DX - or it's just gotten worn out over the years.

    350 watts rms is about right for both the DX10 and 12.

    the 10 likes the overpowering, the 12 doesn't like to get near its 400 wrms. that's just personal observation. that could be affected by many things including the types of boxes i had them in, etc etc etc...

    if you really want to upgrade - and you seem like you have the upgrade bug from reading this thread - then go to a two subwoofer setup. get a couple of momo 2124's or something akin to that and call it a day. two subs are better than one.

    now - if you want to upgrade cheap - you can do this...

    1- TWO audiobahn AW122T's - 550 w rms each - single 4 ohm coil - 45 bucks each - http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1703
    cost = 90 bucks plus about 10 to 15 bucks shipping... and you'll need an amp that does 1000 watts x 1 at 2 ohms.

    2- TWO infinity reference 12's - 300w rms each - dual 4 ohm coils - 62 bucks each sub. http://www.cardomain.com/item/INFREF1232W
    cost = 124 bucks plus 10 to 15 bucks shipping... and you'll need an amp that'll do 500 to 600 x 1 watts at 4 ohms.

    3- TWO polk db 10's - 270 w rms each - dual 4 or single 4 coil - 89 bucks a sub. http://www.cardomain.com/item/POLDB104DVC
    cost = 180 bucks plus 10 to 15 shipping... and you'll need an amp that'll do 500 to 600 x 1 at either 4 ohms or 2 ohms.
