Ok, I just received my RM6900 speaker system yesterday. (Futureshop)

I anxiously hooked it up to the reciever (Panasonic SA-XR25) last night, and went thru the settings. I wired it all up the recommended way, and set subwoofer to no on the receiver.
To keep a long story short, I get absolutely no woofer activity whatsoever. I tried with subwoofer cable and without.

Here's the thing: The woofer has damage on the corner, right out of the box. It's supposed to be brand new!?!
On closer inspection, at least one screw on the back looks like it has been messed with (paint scratched off).

I'm not sure if maybe this was defective, and sent to me by mistake. I did contact Polk, but will have to wait until Monday for a response. Everything else seems perfect, only the woofer looks to be abused...

Any ideas how to test that the woofer works?

PS Sorry about all the ( ) :)
