I never thought to drink a beer with Sushi. I bet it would cool down that Wasabi!! Honestly, I never really thought about Japanese beer and sushi.

I'll have to give Asahi a try next time I eat sushi.

Never really saw the purpose of ruining a good bourbon by charcoal filtering it and then calling it a Tennesse Whiskey. Same for Dickel. That taste just turns my stomach.

How dare you call me a Yankee Carpet Bagger.:p :D

I used to drink Rolling Rock in college, before I became a beer snob. I could get a 12-pack of RR for six or seven bucks. Hell, now I spend $9 for a four-pack (4!) of twelve-oz Dogfish Head 90-minute IPA. That's some really good beer out of a small brewery in Deleware. I'm fortunate enough to have the countrys largest liquor store ( Sam's Wine and Spirits ) located about three miles from my apartment and right next to my favorite local microbrewery Goose Island .

Patron Silver is the tequila that I've got and it is smooth!! Rain vodka is pretty good as well.

Try out flying dog & red oak- those are my favorite beers, unless it's a cheap dirty and trashed night.... in which case it's PBR to the rescue.

As for liquor, it's dirty martini's, Gin&tonics and absinthe for me.

Agreed, although I did have some excellent beer at the airport in Salt LAke City once. Anyone know the name(s) of some of the local brews there. I would really like to try and find some in Canada.

For those who like Labatts, try the LGD. A little better than Blue in my opinion. My friends and I returned 7,000 empty bottles on LGD once so I have some experience with it. Mmmmmmmm.
