Just got a Polk SRT setup for a buddy! HELP NEEDED

Man I have been listening to my buddies SRT setup for some times they used to be awsome, but one of the ADCOM amps (5800) had a fan go out and that side would shutdown so he had them wired up really messy, I am not sure they were ever weird correctly anyway, but they sure used to sound awsome!

He just gave me the whole setup, he is having a baby and didnt want to have to store them, and didnt want them in his main room anymore. Baby's make people do strange stuff.

Anyway here is what I got from him.

The 2 front subs that the satellites sit on, and the satellites, heavy as hell! and the center speaker.
2 rear surrounds, they are small kinda diamond shaped speakers.
They have a tweeter and a mid on each side of the speaker, and I belive you sit them sideways or something.
They dont say what model they are on them, but seem like they came with SRT's at the time.
He might still have the stands that he used to put the surrounds on somewhere, but I might want to replace these they sure seem small.

Also the SRT Control Center (NO REMOTE/ Never seen it before)
for SDA setup, this makes wiring it up hard in my limited experience.

Also
ADCOM GFA 5800
ADCOM GFA 5500
ADCOM 545II

I Currently have klipse speakers and the surronds are bigger, not really sure if better, maybe someone can help tell me with what I should do with the surround setup?
I was thinking of just leaving the Klipse surrounds or something, and maybe the Klipse bass box also, and hooking it all up.

I am waiting for ADCOM to get back to me about a replacment fan for the 5800 amp.

I am sure he was using the ADCOM 5800 for the satellites, and 1 channel of the 5500 for the center speaker and the 545II for the Surounds, I have always hated that one channel of the 5500 was not in use for the center speaker, they 5500 says nothing about being able to be bridged on it.

I really need some help wiring this stuff up, I am sure I could hook it up but not sure if I would get it perfect.
I saw where someone had posted diagrams in this forum but the pictures wouldnt pull up for me, just blank X's where the diagrams should be! as if the server deleted them, but the links are still in the post.

Why won't your friend tell you how he had the system setup?

Well he got them from his dad, when his dad died, his dad had just bought them and someone from Audio Videos Systems in Charlotte NC where I live set them up for his dad, we dismatled the set and moved them to his Moms for awhile where they sat in a spare room then we moved them to his house/ where I lived for around 10 years till I moved out like 5 years ago.
Along the way I think we just kept the control panel wired and etc... and unkooked them from the speakers.
Either way I should remember about as good as he does and I am not sure if we ever had them setup right, I am not sure the guy from Audio Video Sytems had them setup right for that matter. The BiAMP connections are still connected to the satellites for instance and even though that might be they way I would keep them, I would love to know ALL the in and out of this system and get it setup as correct as possible.
There might be multiple options considering the ADCOM amps that I got with them that I or anyone that set them up before thought of?

Contact Polk Customer Service and have them send you the owners manual BEFORE you do anything else.

BTW, you will not need a sub with them (they are built in already) and use the Polk surrounds as the system was designed for them.

Are the diamond/triangle shaped surrounds the right speakers for the SRT system?
Every speaker in the system has a logo that says SRT on it except the surrounds.
Are these the SRT LS/FX REAR SPEAKERS ? how can I tell, if that is the right speaker for th system then ok, but I have no way to really know how the system was purchased was there other options for the surround speakers besides the ones I got from my buddy?

Sounds about right. Do they have any id on them, maybe on the back or on the tweeter/driver? Can you post a pic?

They say Polk Audio on the grills and have the matching tweeter to the mains. Why the questions, they are a set.

    Here's a little info for ya, http://www.polkaudio.com/home/technology/srtconfi.php

Now, haven't I been nice and helpful? I'll even go a step further and offer to relieve you of the worries of proper set up and getting better power to do them justice........I'll drive down and pick these up for free. You'll sleep better at night, trust me.

I thought that is a very generous offer from F1Nut, you should consider it seriously!

    Btw, welcome to the club!

;) Jesse, you can thank me later....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    Thanks for the help everyone,

F1nut "Why the questions, they are a set"
I didnt understand if the surrounds were part of that set, since I didnt see the SRT on them, thought maybe there was more than 1 option for the surrounds at time of purchase and maybe because of the house they were going in they wanted something small in the back, I have herd that the back speakers can be just as big as the fronts in some 5.1 setups.
Anyway if they are a set I will keep them that way, period.
As far as the wiring I could use the help, I will do as someone said and order the Manual from Polk if I can, with maybe a replacement surround grill for one of the surrounds that is broken.
I have wired many home theater systems, and many live stage PA systems when I was much younger, Not that I am a expert but I do have common sense in these things, its just the SDA controller makes things alittle strange and sometimes there are tricks to things and I would like to gather as much info as possible.

BTW, tntvt - I had seen that link you supplied while doing seaches on these forums, but the pictures do not pull for me at all for some reason, thanks anyway Ill just get the manual I am guessing it will have details on wiring there.

They look a lot like my Ls/Fx speakers...............don't think they came w/ the SRT..........the SRT System, if my memory serves me correctly used the same speakers for the front L/R and Surround..of course I could be wrong about that.

Edit- I was referring to the The SEISMIC System as I want to have bragging rights...good link F1

How much does your buddy want for the SRT's? How much would it take for you to sell them and tell your buddy they were stolen by some midnight troll:D
