I really like my Raymond cables.
For a 5.1 he lables each cable and has a different cable for the sub.
Well built and around $20.00 each cable.

Doug, keep in mind that these are simply analog signals being carried a few feet; as such no specific impedance cable is needed, nor extra-heavy shielding if you take the usual precaution of not running a power cable along with it. You can spend about as much as you want; for example three sets of regular stereo connectors, or two sets of more heavily shielded 75 ohm component cables for around $10. At the other extreme(I hope it's the extreme)you can go with "Mr. Fields" for about $30,000. Any of them will carry out their heavy burden flawlessly.

Thanks guys for the info. My amp should be here this week, and the cables will be bought. DougOppo bdp 93 Blue Ray

Doug,
The only way to find out what cables will work best for you is to try some different ones with in your budget and telling us what your budget is would help point you in the right direction. We have a Cable Swap Program here that you can join for free, it only costs you for shipping to the next person. Cables can make a big difference, a little difference or none at all. The better your gear the more likely you are to be able to tell those differences.

I did go to Mr. Fields "NBS Cables" website to check out his $30,000 speaker cables. I assume "NBS" stands for New (or Newer or Newest) Bull ****.:p
Those of you who appreciate hand crafted cables will be pleased to know that every NBS cable product is "......available only from the factory and is handmade by Mr. Fields and the chief technician".
If this keeps up, maybe I will go into the custom cable business.;)Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -
Are you freakin kidding me???? If that JERKOFF can get that kind of money, I AM going into the busness.
I just looked on the website..... -
Those wires are made with OFC, do you know how hard it is to find OFC?
Good luck making those yourself.:DSkynut
