please advise on this upgrade

im currently running a nakamichi reciver1 with a yamaha dsp, polk rt800i's,cs400,r10's,&psw250 and just added a carver av-505 amp(80w/channel <x5>). this week i found a marantz sr-18ex....cheap!
does any one have any (good or bad)info on this setup.
comparitivly to my exsisting system?!?!?!?
will the marantz drive the polks nicely? im hearing alot about the resistance and capedance?!? factors, will the polk get along with the marantz?

    Marantz makes one hell of a receiver,they have for years.I personally demo'd the 18 ex and the 14 ex and many other's.I never have been dissapointed in the quality of warm clean sound.I don't know if I will mate with your Polk but taking your Polks to the dealer wouldn't be a bad Idea.I'm startint to feel that The only way I'm gonna get any kind of demo is to start carring around my amp.

    We have run several setups on Marantz equipment and I haven't heard of any problems nor have I personally had any.

    I can't remember the model of the pre or the amp, but I will try to track it down tomorrow.
