The cog railway is a hoot! Sure is still alot of snow up top huh?

90 degrees today down here in OK., while its still snowing at the higher elevations. Strange what a few (14) thousand feet can do for weather.

How did your daughter hold up on the trip, or better yet, how'd you hold her up, Frank?:)

    Dennis,
There was quite a bit of snow, 5-6' in some spots. Some of the kids and a few adults got Altitude Sickness and had to get a few hits of O-2 at the "Oxygen Bar" in the summit house. Carrying Rebecca around up top was kinda tough but certainly worth it. MRI on Tuesday, I'll update th other thread accordingly.

Now back to the original topic....:)
Some great pics folks. Wish I still had a scanner.:(

I know I posted this here before but I'm hoping to get back down to this place this week. There is supposed to be gorgeous weather every day except Wednesday and moderate cloud cover. That should make for some excellent sunsets and sunrises too! Hopefully I'll get something good!

Wow.. you all are good photographers... I'm very impressed. It takes a trained eye to be able to recognize when you see something that should be captured as a photograph. :)

Keep up the good work people... photography is a wonderful hobby or profession.

here is a pic I snapped this weekend. It's a war memorial.. that is a replica of Stonehenge. It's quite large

It's whatever they use for rollerhockey rinks, some sort of plastic tile.
It gets pretty dirty/slippery being exposed to the outside elements . This is at the Healthsouth center in El Segundo, CA.

Ahhh... the JHU LAX photos (which are quite nice, by the way) are making me nostalgic. I didn't go to my reunion last weekend (A&S BA 1980, PhD 1986), but I heard the weather was decent. The weather was crummy in MA last weekend (an omen).

Tour2... I have never seen Loch Ness on a day that wasn't grey at best (or more typically miserable), and I have been there in the summertime! Nice photo!

Lots of nice photos on this thread. I am a lousy photographer in both the digital and the analog domains. The example given is a sandhill crane that had shown up in Concord, MA a couple of years ago. Taken with an early Olympus 1 MB digital camera through my wife's spotting scope.

    mrh,

    Nice shot...

I've been to Scotland 4 times and every time the weather was gorgeous overall... a few squals here and there, but 15 minutes downpour and then sunshine...
