Guess who just rang my doorbell? Guess who I'll be feeding tonight. Troy just walked in. He's up here for a school. Well, we're out of here to go look at hi-fi stuff. Big surprise.

    To NY? Are you KIDDING?

Pawns/thrifts is where it's AT and you can do that local.

There is a certain charm to visiting a high end shop and checking out esoteric gear, especially with friends...however, looking for used gear is what I like.

Wend to a cool shop in Bordenton. Some cool items there, bunch of Pioneer Elite (2 M72's and a matching preamp), B&K ST-140, Fosgate line level surround decoder.....

I don't know if your still in town, but right over the bridge is a used stereo exchange shop. I know the owner and he always has cool stuff.

It's right on New Falls road and 413. Right over the Burlington Bristol Bridge.

I like both kinds of places. I love going to high end shops.

There are at least three Barracks Trading Posts in Zoo Jersey.

Troy, thanks a lot big mouth.

The airshow is on, and you'd have to be out of your mind to buck the traffic going AND coming. My squadron will be doing a fly-by in the tanker, IF they can get a crew to volunteer. I know who WON'T be volunteering. I got an e-mail today regarding the possibility of me considering, and my response was a rousing "Chuck you Farley!"

I was thinking the same thing George.

Dress 'em up, send 'em to school, and THIS is what you get in return.

    Cheers,

We we're discussing some of the problems in the country these days. To hear him talk, you would've swore we were on the same page. Then I read today in one of your posts that he's Mr. Brand New SUV.

    Well THERE'S a big help!

Well I'm one of those that would love the get to see an aircraft like that one do a fly by, not many of use in the civvy life ever get to see them up close and personal and consider it an honer. I for one am damn proud of what you guys do day in and out for us.

my fault. i had a feeling it might be guarded information. you probably won't be in much trouble unless the hit count for this thread starts looking like there's pictures of babes in it.

yeah, i used to have a backdoor in, i don't know if it's still open though. avoiding the traffic on the way out has always been dicey. usually arriving late gets you parked closer to the exit (doh! another secret down).

in any case,.. it will be my boy's first airshow and we'll be standing where i stood with my dad when i was his age, and it's a social event. guys i worked with at mafb will be making the trip and the airshow [read: a trip to the breakshack] is a better excuse than most to set a date certain and follow through.

tis has its advantages,.. at least there's no need to make a public display of your team spirit by flipping patties.

    1. I doubt releasing the name of that particular place will create a surge in thier business, however, point taken. I'm not BDT for nothing, you know.

    2. Far as the SUV, it's not mine. The lovely Wendi travels quite a bit for work and I INSIST that she have a reliable vehicle. We bought it a year and a half ago, she was driving a 10 year old Infinity with 200K on it and was developing a habit of being towed to it's final destination. Bottom line is this, I can walk a couple miles to a filling station. For Wendi, that's not an acceptable situation. It's a Kia, so we certainly could have spent MUCH more on a vehicle if we wanted.

Troy - Are you picking up these Dahlquist on your way back?

I was pretty impressed with the fit and finish of that Kia that you own, no doubt.

Russ, you should see Troy when he drives it.....pure P I M P.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

You forget I was there? Wendi doesn't let him drive it.

Troy, pimp? I guess, if you call riding around in a Sponge Bob T-shirt, knockin' back some juice boxes, pimp.

No, I'm just saying as SUV's go, the Kia is cheap.

Correct, I'm not allowed to drive it. Hell, Wendi doesn't even like me to be near it, unless I'm washing it. I guess she thinks that I'm the type of guy that would wipe boogers underneath the seats.

Man, do I appear as a guy that has, say, Danes in his sole?

Not on the low end at all.....I was having sickness and car issues over last weekend so I opted to not go back to Baltimore and I had to get back to Charleston asap on the way back so I didn't stop on the way back.....my apologies, I hated to not get back that way on this trip.

    To answer somebody's question......

Not too many miles per gallon, this country's overdependance on foreign oil, and the **** that dependance gets us into are all good reasons to park SUV's permanently.
