Hi, I been a Polk dude for months and learned a few things here and even took advice from forum members in things to buy and etc

However I still get confused by the words used in the audiophile language. Sometimes I'm affraid to ask what certain words mean because it might make me look stupid and embarrased. But what the heck, I just wanted to make a list of words and maybe ppl here can defined them to me.

*Soundstage

*Warm Sounding

*Bright Sounding

*Spacious Sounding

*Open

*Presence
(e.g. more of a sense of presence in the soundstage with music)

*More I cant remember or think of

Thanks!

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

This list should keep you busy for awhile,

    audiophile:

"audiophile - listed as a sickness for which there truly is no cure in the national psychology manual. Symptoms usually include: lack of money, large periods of time spent alone with only music as their company, a compulsion to spend large periods of their free and work time posting useless and pointless posts on web sites like Head-Fi, DIYAudio, or HeadWize, and is usually accompanied by a severe case of upgraditis. They are deemed as being deluded by their family members (especially their spouse), aloof by their friends, and abusive by their wallet. The funny thing is that they normally find a close kindred with audio salesman and other sufferers of this sickness."

hee hee hee. I don't know anyone of these people.

Yeah, but support groups shouldn't include a bunch of enablers like us.
