    Well this is random but last night I talked for about 20 minutes with an MTX rep. He really sparked my interest with the new thunder amp lineup and I'll most likely be getting one soon.

    The cooling and and all the options they present in the "trunk forward selling" philosophy are excellent. Basically it's a strat where you sell the trunk first.. so amps, subs... then worry about the HU... Which is ignorant but some cars you can't replace the HU and some people just don't understand what the HU does.

    I mentioned RE and he was pretty impressed that I had a ****. I guess someone on the mitek team has one running off a modded 1501d and it's pretty sweet he said. anyways thought i'd share the rare encounter with someone who actually knows whats hot and whats not around Car audio.

    it's awesome when you can carry on a conversation about gear and not have the other guy trying to one-up you the whole time...

    I feel you are one of those who sits here all day looking for somewhere to post an elementary level comment. Actually I know it because I've witnessed it and from the lack of intelligent posts (for reference see: my posts first) it's clear you only care about how high you can get that number below your name.

    Thats cool you got to talk to an MTX rep in depth.

    Those new Thunder amps do look to be pretty badass. They take a lot of technology from the Xtant line, which I think are the best amps on the market, well except for Tru but they cost $2000.

    Its also sad that most poeple consider MTX to be a cheap, CC brand when they are among the best equipment on the market. Mass marketing has made them quite succesful but have also given them a stigma they dont deserve.

    I shot the guy an e-mail the other night abuot an info packet he had on the new amps...

    hopefully i can get the 1500w at 1 ohm model soon for a backup on my hifonics...
