Monster Cable.....

I can get a great deal on monster cable, lets just say more than 50% off legitametly because I work at Best Buy.....ugh I know it isnt great, but it's a job that is helping put me through university and providing funds for my hobby.
That being said, I was wondering if biwiring with the m series cable, specifically the M1.4 would make a big difference for my setup.
I have some LSi 15s, LSi 9s and an LSi C coming in the mail . I will be using a NAD t773 most likely. Currently I'm considering the new monster cable, as a much cheaper alternative.
My room is 20' by 15' with 10' ceilings.
Thanks
Julian

If you can get a discount, and that makes you feel good, then by all means go with it. It's your money.
You'll get little love for Monster Cable from this motley crew.
I personally think you can get better performance from some other brands, specifically Signal Cable(5% discount for Polkies) or Blue Jeans Cable. I prefer the terminations of SC, but there are some very satisfied BJC owners present.
DH Labs also make some great DIY type cables, and we have a Polkie that is an authorized DH Labs installer...Dave Shepard.
You have many options for a modest investment, take advantage of them.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Not sure where you are in ON. If you have a Princess Auto around you check them out ! You can get 50ft of AR cable for 20$ 16awg or 14 awg not sure.

I have the Monster THX hooked to my Lsi25's speaker section and the Monster coax hooked to the sub section. I am very happy with the sound of my system. The wires are finished nicely as well.SuperDave

The M1.4 are good cables but if you want to save a little more get yourself a set of monster Z2 bi wire speaker cables, The Z2 is the same cable with a different jacket & should cost less than the m1.4, the M series the cables are ul approved for in wall use, the Z series are not, But you probably wont run your main speaker cables in wall so the ul rating shouldnt matter. I had Z2 bi wires & recently upgraded to M2.4's to my LSi's. If you can get accomidation disc, why not purchase a set of M2.4?

I was once a big fan of bi-wire. When I put my bi-wires on the first time, I did hear a difference and was totally satisfied. After some time had passed and I had experienced some other good sets of speaker wire I came to believe what I had originally thought was the magic of bi-wire was for me really just my first experience with a thicker gauge wire.
As ezc has pointed out the M and Z series are the same wire sonically. Have fun which ever way you decide to go. I still think Bi-wires have a certain nice look to them.

My monster Sub cable failed within a month and the replacement was bad. I had to take the ends of 2 more appart in front of the salesman to find one that was good.
The solder job on the input end was bad on 3 out of 4 that I looked at.
I am spending bucks now experimenting with other wires to replace them.Skynut

That is extremely rare. I install Monstercable and not once did we have a bad cable. Never not any . I have yet to have one. Your experience is very rare. I'm not a big fan of monstercable but there quality control is awesome.
