HK or NAD?

I am in the process of putting together my system, and am currently debating which Reciever to Buy. I am looking at the HK AVR 635. I will be driving the following speakers:

LSI 15s
LSI 9S
LSI C

Since these are four ohm speakers, I am wondering if the 635 will be enough power to feed these hungry monsters. I am looking at possibly taking a step up to the NAD t773 or possibly the HK AVR 7300, but I think the NAD might be a better choice.

My room is 20' x 15' with 10' ceilings.

I listen to about 60% music and 40% movies.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Julian

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I've heard nothing but positive things about the NAD.

When I was at the dealer I got a chance to lift it too. It is heavy!!!

Judging from my setup, do you think that I should consider other NAD models other than the t773?

    Thanks,

    Julian

Can't go wrong there. FZ is right about super value of the Outlaw. I was in about the same situation and went with the NAD T773 as it was less expensive and better suited my needs. You might want to check out this thread:

http://clubpolk.polkaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27493 I listed prices and sources.

After a month I'm still very satisfied with the 773. I use the room as an office, home theatre, and to listen to music -- the programmable presets and listening modes work great with the LSis to customize the sounds to different sweet spots. The big downside is that the system now really points out the weaknesses in the Dayton subwoofer for music. Great for the price ($130) but really out of its league now. Some folks say that using a BFD will improve it dramatically. Might spend the $99.

I posted a nice long response to your thread on subwoofer, in which I mentioned the B&K 505 as another possible alternative to the NAD 773, which I also recommended. Outlaw would certainly be worth considering as well.

Great choice if you go with the NAD T773. I've had mine for over a year now & I couldn't be more pleased with it. Awesome sound & plenty of power for 4 ohm speakers. Good luck with your purchase.
