upon reflection, I think -- perhaps -- this ancient :) Steely Dan song might be apropos

This is also, I might add - ahem - a pretty danged fine song, with a particularly danged fine guitar solo by, if memory serves, the Skunk (Jeff Baxter).
Gyah, how can you guys stand that stuff.
Steely Dan is good for one place - Elevators.
And even then, only on mute.

^^^ just kidding around, btw, I know some of yooz guys really enjoy Tinny Steve, and I can respect that. Plus, I know people couldn't stand listening to a lot of the stuff that I like, thinking it just plain awful noise.

I'm sure if you had the prints you could make it happen.

I still have my "Clamp" that I bought from Joe when he had a handful of posts. It is a great design that functioned as others described. I have tried several other clamps but Joe's is the best. I asked Joe about drawings or sketches years ago in an attempt to get more made, Joe wanted to sell them. He could never get the prints, dimensions, BOM, etc. from the shop that made these for him.

The "Clamp" is easy to disassemble. This piece could be taken apart, scanned and probably 3D printed. Reverse engineering wouldn't be difficult. Somebody offered one up for inspection.

A group project would be nice.

The sad thing for me is I could have been a member back in 2000 when I purchased my first polks (RT55i's) and I registered them on polks website, I even looked around the forum back then, even joined but never posted, and never gave it a second thought till I purchased my RTiA9's in 09, so I was this close to being one of those really old members..

Heck -- I coulda been a member in 1978, but the Internet was still runnin' on 6SN7s in those days ;)
