Hi, I'm currently using monster speaker cable for my LSi9s and LSiC and am thinking about an upgrade to the Kimber 8TC. Looking into bi-wire with banana plugs. Any tips and good or bad experiences with this cable before I order are appreciated. Thanks.

Are you really going to bi-wire ? has it proven to be a sonic benefit? if not don't buy the bi-wire. I use 4pr. Unless you will bi-amp then it would be worth it.

*Edit* I miss read the original post and missed the bananas. My 8TC are unterminated.SDA-2a, Anthem Pre-2L, Anthem Amp 1, MF A324 DAC, Rotel RCD1070

I just find he could save a tad of cash and get non-bi-wired. why would you buy an extra set of tires for your car if you can only use 4 at a time.

It's not a matter of extra anything. The 8TC has 16 individual wires braided to make one cable. It just gives you the option to use it in a biwire setup. If you wanted to.SDA-2a, Anthem Pre-2L, Anthem Amp 1, MF A324 DAC, Rotel RCD1070

Thanks D, I thought they were pre-bi wired! my ignorance !
then by all means buy them ! -
Must have been quite the lamp cord !;) Right I lucked out and bought 30ft for 50$cad taxes in.

Quite the lampcord indeed. Lol.
The 8TC made a subtle but noticeable difference for me over the 4VS. The 8TC is also much better than 8PR. IMO.SDA-2a, Anthem Pre-2L, Anthem Amp 1, MF A324 DAC, Rotel RCD1070

Thanks for the quick feedback - seems as though this brand is fairly well received. I do have Hero interconnects now. So I probably will give this a try.

I'm using a doublerun of 8tc to bi-wire, and I'm loving it. It was a very noticable improvement over the PS Audio bi-wires that I had before.
I say go for it. You can't really go wrong with Kimber. -
I also Used Kimber 8tc double run bi wire for my Lsi's when I owned them.
If you buy a single run of 8tc and use it as a bi wire, it's really a 4tc 4tc run. When you use 2 runs of 8tc 8tc then you have a true 8tc bi wire.
Go for it there incredible cables,

Interesting... but I'm not entirely clear on this. so is a double run two pairs of 8tc's? Or do they sell it double width with a banana end?
If 2 pairs, would that rule out the banana connection entirely? Is this something you would only do for spade or bare wire? -
Kimber will terminate the cable with whatever you need. My pair was spades at both ends. The 2 8tc cables are joined together by a single pair of spades at the amp end, then at the speaker end the 2 cables have 4 ends, one pair is slighty shorter for the bottom posts.

Yes, a double run is two full pairs of 8tc, 4 cables. You can get them terminated however you want from from Kimber. For example, you can get the amp ends joined together to a single banana termination. This is how mine are (bought from Mantis) - cept mine have spades all the way around.
You'll most likely have to order them as it's not a terribly common request and I doubt any storefront would have some handy. Most anyone would however, be able to make you some if you don't want the factory Kimber termination.
I have seen some going on Audiogon and Ebay.
