I just got my new sub this week, and it is awesome..!!!!!!

I have had subs before, but nothing like this...

It turns the air into sound waves and actually moves air

all throughout the house..!!!

It`s not just a sound , or a thump/boom...

it`s a physical experience...

I`m hearing freq`s that I`ve never heard or felt before.

It melts into the soundstage so well, it seems to come from everywhere,,

My duaghter came running down the hall yelling that things were fallin in her room , and we are having an earthquake..!!:D

I have now gone to a totaly new level in HT..!!

Tomorrow I will swap the RTi`s out for the LSi`s and use my Rotels for each set of speaks to see which ones go...
I hear the RTi`s are better than the LSi`s for HT..

we shall see...

    I am so jealous of you man. I don't own a good sub, but I do know what you are talking about.

    Here's the crappy part. You are soon going to realize that you have been missing out on tons of great bass in EVERY movie you ever watched. Now get started watching them all over again!

    Glad to hear you like it. Let the good folks here know if you need any bass heavy movies to watch.

    We had friends over last night and watched the Incredibles...It's always a hoot to see peoples reaction to the SVS and a good LFE track...

    The Ultra is very appropriately named.

    Not necessarily. That is just the opinion of some folks. I owned the RTXXi series and now have the LSi. I'll take the LSi anyday with the gear I have (and that is my opinion).

    The SVS sub and the LSi sound very seemless in my HT rig. It took me 6 weeks to find the right place / position for the sub without it sounding too powerfull due to extreme corner loading spike; but I finally found a resting place for it.

    In my opnion the Lsi's are much better doing everything then the rti series. Better speakers are better speakers.

    Lsi for home theater is a gift. they bring a new level of sonic performance that the rti series cannot compete with.

    The Lsi`s are much smaller than the RTxxi`s and are 4 ohm, not 8 ohm...

    If I use the external amps this should not be a problem..

    I would like to check out the FX`s from this series , as I just got a pair to go with the RTxxi`s and really like them...


    After listening tp the 9`s , the 55`s seem kinda harsh...

    I need to do some more listening..!!!

    This could take a while ...there a lot of configurations to go through....:D

    This is true. After getting my PB10-ISD, it really was like watching brand new DVD's with new sound mixes. The clean and deep quality of the PB10, in combination with the balancing provided by a BFD, made everything sound better...even the rest of the mix because it wasn't getting muddled by bad/rumbly bass...everything's clearer and weightier. Even som bad movies are fun to watch now (like The Hulk).

    Welcome to the PCU club. Actually there is something better than one PCU; two.:D Now you understand what others (including myself) have been saying about clean, low bass.

    Use the Rotel with the LSi speakers and don't look back. They are a great combination and much better than the RTi series for everything.

    Remember tune your sub with a SPL meter and test disc and PEQ. It gets ever better. Enjoy!

    I was watching Sky Captain last night with the PCU and I ran into problems, I wouldn't dare to listen it at reference as I was afraid the house wouldn't take it. At -6dB those robot steps where hitting me in the chest quite powerfully. I don't think the PCU needs a second unit in my small 11x13ft room... :)

    BTW, the PCU is paired with 5 * LSi7's which I love. I made the switch from RTi-series long time ago and will not look back. The LSi's do all the things better than the RTi's IMO. Especially since I also listen to 2(.1)ch music with this setup.
