I don't think this forum is all that. I mean I go to multiple forums but the only thing that keeps me coming back here is the friendly people and serious discussion. As for funny people this forum lacks alot in that area. Maybe I'm 18 and the humor isn't sick and twisted enough for my liking. I don't know maybe I like to ramble about things I really have absolutely no opinion on and try to make it look like I know alot about the subject at hand. Maybe it's just that I like the post counters and that's why I keep coming back. I definately know it's not the speakers or the rush of blood I get to my head whenever I think about car audio. And home audio? who is into that... I mean in the car is where it's at. You be cruisin along lookin for them fine breezy's like a rap song man. If you got thump in yo ride man you down to pull some proper stuff. If you do it right you won't get any diseases either... you pull a few breezies then you get them hooked to yo ride n yo system and you be bangin in more ways than one son.

    that's real.

:D What did I do to provoke that? I can bring you some of my mom's cookies. I'm really not some punk with a system... in fact I haven't had anything in my car for the last 8 months because I've been saving nearly everything I make...(besides basic living costs and insurance) to do everything in my car right.

So let's all be nice and bridge a gap. please?

Not trying to start fights or problems here, but I don't think that gap can be bridged adam. This side is a little...weird if you will. Different sense of humor, lots of inside jokes, not fond of outsiders and their sarcasm, but maybe that's just my impression.

Oooooooo I'm going to bridge it. Even if it takes a 102 page case study typed in arial 10 point font.

In my day, I had two Mustang GTs with over $3,000 in audio equipment in those rides. I'm talking top of the line Alpine and Denon head units with separates up front (Boston Acoustics and MB Quarts .... the old separates fro m over 10 years ago) with a bridged amp up front on the separates, Kenwood 5 X 7s in the rear, and enough subwoofer (I went through several... Pyle, Cerwin Vega, and Rockford Fosgates) to make it sound good inside the car and not be heard from a block away. I know a lot about car audio ... just not where my interest is anymore.

In my opinion, a car audio system can sound pretty good, but it doesn't hold a candle against a good home setup. Sorry... not there. FWIW, my opinion... been there and done it. I'm in my 30s now.. maybe I'm too damn old... but I enjoy a good soundstage and depth of soundstage that I just haven't heard in car systems.

I think it's because I spend most of the time in my car. I'm not being hostile or anything towards HT. I'd love to have a nice setup in my basement but the folks most likely wouldn't approve of the floor shaking and vents rattling. :D:D

I understand you're not being hostile. I used to spend a lot of time in cars too... to get away from parents and to have one's own "space". I know where you are coming from man and I totally understand.

When they make a tube car amp maybe I'll get back to car audio:D

Car audio levels can get ridiculously loud really fast... I'm talking well over 115 db all of the time.... I've measured it in my car systems and what I blame for some of my mild hearing loss in one ear now....just be careful with it dude. when you get 10 years older you'll want to thank me.

I think this time through I'm doing it for the right reasons and not to be loud. My hearing is already not too great so I'm careful what I do. Hell my ears get sensitive whenever I put on headphones. but that don't mean I can have something that sounds nice.

Don't read too much into this thread as no animosity towards car audio was expressed, unless I missed it.

I thought this started out as a genuine comment about how cool this forum is, and I agree, then it eventually degrades into completely off base comments.

The "too much posting" comment was trying to state that the thread was becoming a rant....not a useful post, thus why bother.

This isn't the only place I prowl either, just the main place I chat, and I like it very much.
