One of my RT8s is sick

I've had this set of RT8s for a long time and have been very happy with them. I recently noticed one of them makes a nasty buzzing sound which seems to be coming from the mid range cone (or is that the woofer? Anyway it's the bigger of the two cones on the front of the speaker).
If I get up close and listen to it with the grills off I can make it stop by touching the raised ridge that surrounds the cone and applying a little pressure.
I suspect my two-year old had something to do with it but I'd like to fix it.
I live in a rural area so I'd prefer to do it myself.
Do I just need a new cone? Anything else I should try before just replacing it? Thanks!
