Well no one has said anything because everybody, and obviously including you, knew what I mean. That and nobody else feels the need to be the typo police! :p

That "50x2" amp is at least a 75x2 in real world power.

However I would also recommend something maybe a little stronger.

Im not a big fan of Hifonics amps but most everybody else on here is and has had good luck with them so I guess never mind me! :D

I still say go with the MMC6500's. Theyre only $30 more and are a lot better speakers. The best you can buy for that kind of money.

The prices I have as of right now are the max I can go for my spending. Eventually yeah I will go even better because there is always somthing better :D but until then, thats my set up. A little confused about the numbers (50x2, 75x2 or w/e?)and battery though...

MTX amps are ridiculously underrated and you can always expect a lot more than whats rated.

Don't worry Macleod, I have heard nothing but good things about MTX amps from everyone. Pretty much its a competition between MTX and HiFonics, who ever has the best prices for them when I go to order wins. I attached a picture which I took in my dads ram 1500 sport, That is pretty much where I want to build the sub box from for the dakota. I will probably be making it out of fiberglass but can't begin until the truck is here...:(

I don't like that position - I honestly can't give you any hard facts to prove that opinion, but I've had 2 of those trucks and that was always a bad spot for audio. Under the driver or passenger rear seat firing forward is a good sub location/position as well as under the rear seat firing down.

and mtx is a friggin amplifier GOD in my book. never the 'cleanest', never the 'absolute best', but by far some of hte most durable, long lasting, "will never let you down" amplifiers I've seen or used. I've got like a 8 or so year old model still kicking like it was new.

I have such a mixture of ideas, I know that that whole sub box on the hump isn't the best idea but I figured it would be quick and easy, But I think it just wont work. Well now my plans have changed yet again into a stealth box made out of fiberglass (make it myself) one side have the amps and the other have the sub. I need the rear seats to stay as is, no different mountaing brackets, velcro...all that stuff is a no. Thanks for the input.

Well to make a long story short...kinda lol. My girlfriends sisters boyfriend says mono amps are bad news, even for subs I guess? He says go with a multi channel amp...is that true. Well anyways he got me confused again. If I am on the right track, what single multichannel amp can I buy to power the whole stereo.

um... yeah, monoblocks are a godsend, your friend is crazy (if you've ever heard of mcintosh, they're pretty much the best ever, and they run monoblocks a lot).

what your friend was probably concerned about was a class-d amp, which should be used for nothing other than a sub... they're very efficient, but can sound kinda bad on regular speakers. but, unless you've got golden ears and the best subs, you won't be better off with a multichannel powering your subs.

in other words, the amps rec'd above will do quite well... for what you want, i agree with the rec of MTX.

Yea, my bad. I got all confused and misunderstood (sp?) him. Good thing is, I never knew he installed stereos at one time and knows so much about the whole deal. So good thing is he'll install everything with me for free...bad thing is that I still have no luck finding a job...

Make sure thats what he meant. Cause if he thinks mono amps are bad then he doesnt know what he's talking about and should be ignored.

Mono amps, as Neo said, are great. Theyre very effecient and are much smaller than an equally powerful A/B amp. Usually class D amps do have more distortion than an A/B but there are some exceptions. Both MB Quart and Xtant make class D full range amps that are excellent SQ amps. Most class D amps cant even be used on speakers as they only have frequency responses up to 200 Hz.
