Ok so a couple of folks asked for a pic. Sorry about the glare and quality, but I'm still trying to figure out how to use my damn camera.
Just got my RDV-1050 today. All I've got left I think is to find some cables to stick with. Mostly just a couple of pairs of interconnects and some bi-wires. Everything else that I have is monster, and it's mostly for video or other sources. I want to have my 2 channel path nice and tight with the best. The rest (digital, multichannel audio, video) I'm not so concerned with so I can just keep the monster cables there.
In The Pic:
LG 44" HD RPLCD
Rotel RDV-1050
Rotel RCD-1070
Rotel RSX-1056
Time Warner HD Box
Panamax Max 5100 (might go with a 5510)
Rotel RB990-BX
PS2
(LSi speaks of course)
If you look closely you'll see the beasts that are the PS Audio xTreme Statement bi-wires. I'll take some detailed pics of them later if anyone is interested.
By the way, I found the anomaly that made me think the receiver sounded better than the amp. It had to do with having the amp powered on and hooked up, but not in use. I did brief shootout between the two tonight and the difference is little to none at the volumes that I listen at.
I'm happy with the way things are coming along. Just thought I'd share...

Sweet man Sweet,
I so love Rotel Gear. For video cables Monster does and excellent job. No need to upgrade unless your upgrading to component and your currently using S or composite.
Lg tv I see nice man I hear many good things about there sets. There Plasmas are real nice. They have great video quality.

Sweet setup you've got there. You did remember to remove the jumpers off your speakers, right?

No, I just coated them in butter like the manual says.
Errr wait, that was Hustler that had the butter talk. Damn.
BTW, thanks -
Looks great, Phuz! the cherry center seems to match very nicely with the LSis. Btw, where's the 9? I recalled you had two pairs of them, just curious...I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

That's a sharp looking setup.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Thanks, and it does match well. It matches even better with the new cherry finish that Polk is using now.
The stand is made by Sanus, and they have a whole slew of stuff that matches. I have a matching coffee and end table on the way. -

My cherry 9's are being used as my rear surrounds. The ebony are in storage... thats another story. I wasn't quite honest 100% back then about that second pair of 9s (for good reasons)... but yes I have an LSi9 box with some mint ebony cabinets in a climate controlled storage unit right now. -
That's cool, Phuz! no biggie, I don't know that you have a stack of minty gears in your climate controlled storage unit. What else in there?I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

A bunch of junk that I need to get rid of
Polkthug: STFU!
I'm starting over completely in a lot of ways, and I wanted to get away from my old cheap bachelor pad look that I had before, so nya. -
haha!:)
Maybe the makers of your tv stand also make a media rack that matches it. -

Top notch system throughout except for the wicker baskets. You really need to dump them. They would go nicely in a sewing room or something.Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -

Oh COME ON. I suppose I should ditch the cancles too eh?
Something did happen lately that was slightly bothersome to me. I have been called "metro" a couple of times. However, after thinking about it, I realized it didn't bother me much cuz the women DIG IT and it helps with the ladies.
Someday when I have a real mancave sure I'll ditch em, but sheesh right now I think they go quite well with everything else thank you very much!
Pffffft. You can get teh finger!
-
The candles add a touch of class. The baskets just add clutter. I'll take your finger and raise you two.

You could put a white liner in this and a cute little bow on the front, and get more storage out of them.
-
You guys are funny.
I had to have somewhere to put the 10-15 CDs and DVD-A disks that I listen to most frequently, and PS2 stuff, so shut it.
*snicker* -
You go Phuz! The baskets are fine, the candle is fine. But what or who is the dude sitting on the right LSI? You should have another matching candle.:D
