Just got LSiC
Been using CSi3 for quite a while now, and have really been looking forward to getting the LSi counterpart.
First thing I was worried about was being able to pinpoint the fact dialogue only comes out from the right woofer. Even though my couch (unfortunately) is only 5 feet away from the center, it's pretty much impossible to tell only one woofer is firing for voice. From this I quickly noticed how well the cascading crossover really works, I can sit anywhere off-axis now and still recieve clear voices. With the CSi3 it was very noticable if you were out of the sweet spot, which was maybe only 5 to 10 degrees in each direction.
I know my 7's took a while to get un-muddied out of the box, so I guess I'm going to have to go through it again. They were never really as obvious, since they don't host voice very much, but the LSiC is definitely in need of break in. Of course, it probably doesn't help I'm using a 50 cent RCA IC and 16-18 AWG monster cable, vs. Frank's Shotgun BW and Analog 2 IC on my 7's, so hopefully once I the new cables get here, and a couple weeks of break in, everything will be golden
Last task is to let my roommates re-arange the living room along the verticle instead of horizontal - I suppose any speaker will have a bit of an edge from 5 feet away

Very nice system you got there. Should sound awesome, especially with music.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I'm really thinking about getting an LSiC to complete my setup. I have been a strong proponent of 4.1 especially since my room is quite small relative to the theaters some people here have... ehhehe.
Anyway, I should be getting one in two months or so.
Looking forward to it!
Also, if you could post a review of the LSiC after break in, it would be much appreciated!
Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
Hmm.. well I think I figured out what was causing the smallness and muffled vocals!
Try replacing this:

Thanks to Frank! Just needs a little more break in, but sounding insanely great already.Dodd Audio ELP [ Tubes ] // Harman Kardon AVR330 // Parasound HCA-1203A // Denon DVD-2900

Fantastic! Who says cables don't make a difference???
Are the old speaker cables Monster brand? If so, burn them before they end up in another system.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Strange, I accidently dropped some holy water on those monster cables and they burst into flames. Who'da thunk it?
I finally did a real reacalibration - and just became insanely glad I replaced the CSi3. I'm pretty new to home audio, so I thought what I had before was a pretty convincing "soundstage", but no, no, no.
It's like there's now a virtual curtain in the front of my room, and it's all emiting sound evenly over the entire surface. I played some DTS music and in one of Sting's songs imaged so well I could hear his voice coming from the lower left corner of my amplifier. Freekin' amazing.Dodd Audio ELP [ Tubes ] // Harman Kardon AVR330 // Parasound HCA-1203A // Denon DVD-2900

Ok that's it, I'm ordering my cables like... NOW.
Congrats, those cables look great and I bet they sound even better. -
Hey you should post some pics of your system and the lsic... i would like tou see it and im sure others would too!Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R

I'm still seeing a lot of cheap-o cables in there... Time to start upgrading!Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
Sure thing. Unfortunately having housemates (who pay much more rent) limits me from organizing the living room the way I'd like it. Subwoofer is right next to TWO openings. Oh well, I think they'll come around eventually
Here's the moneyshot of the whole system. I know the speaker stands should be higher in theory, but I got them for $15 bucks direct from Vidsonix on eBay so they sound GOOD to me! Those VHS tapes aren't mine, I swear...
Again, I really don't like having my Parasound sitting atop the HK, but I have to deal with it for now. Gets a bit hot but never gone into protection mode.
Housemates also have a cat, hence the blanket ontop of the sub. He doesn't get up there often, but I'd like to preserve resale value for when I go SVS. I think this sub is actually my favorite part of the system, though.
Taking a bit of advice from Polksters, using Home Depot rubber doorstops to angle my LSiC downwards. Works very, very well.

Most of the cheap-o cables are things I don't care about, like their old VCR, Xbox and PS2 that I never play and the DISH reciever, which only has composite out for audio. Using component directly to the TV for DVD.
Only 2 cables I want to upgrade are a MagicPower cord - even though the Parasound did come with what I've heard is a very good stock cord - and the Digital Coax, once that's gone I'll be rid of Monster forever.Dodd Audio ELP [ Tubes ] // Harman Kardon AVR330 // Parasound HCA-1203A // Denon DVD-2900

What size/brand stands are those? They look like the Target Audio HR60's (22"). Am I right? I am looking at getting the 70's (28") and was curious to see what you thought of 'em. I don't think they look to bad... a little pricey but not bad.Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.

So is the LSiC piano black all the way through? Is there an adjuster in the back to tilt it forwards and downwards?
I would like a pic of your system without the speaker covers... thanks!

Hey I see a Pioneer Dv414 in your system. I use to own that DVD player. I bought it the week it came. I remember all the reveiws of it back then and it got a really good rating. My sister now uses it and it still looks brand new.
