All,

Would you, could you? also, fair price on this? I tried to dig the diffrences between all MIT line, but got lost on the details, so, if anyone could give me the cliff-note version, appreciated...

Jesse? Mark? Bueler?

Thanks a bunch...
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

    AVt (Good)
Shotgun (Better) * I think this line is the best bang for the buck from MIT
    Magnum (Best)
Oracle (You're spending too much money)

I would suggest the Shotgun S3 as a great starting place and most likely ending point for MIT.

I would drop an email to Joe Abrams, Audiogon, and check him out. He has the best prices for brand new MIT around, to my knowledge. 50% off MSRP.

If you really get serious, drop me a line, as I would be willing to let you borrow a Shotgun S3 for a demo.

thanks for the offer, I might take you up on it, Mark. So, is this:

    http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?cablspkr&1111550059

from their AVt line or Shotgun line?

Is Joe Abrams the Cable Nerd guy? (tcnerd.com)

Compared to Signal's Shotgun, your take (since I know you have both)?

I am saving the Oracle for my Levinson, when I get to it ;) (which ain't goin' to happen in this lifetime)

    Thanks again, Mark...

No, this is the guy you want. http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?cablintr&1111860119

I wouldn't bother with the AVt line, start with the Shotgun series, it'll most likely be all the cable you'll ever need.

Jesse found Joe in his travels and hooked me up with him as well. He uses the Shotgun S1 and I use the S3. The S1 is the higher end of that line....S1, S2 and S3.

Not yet, I need to call him tomorrow to discuss options. He has no inventory on S3 biwire.

Personally, I wouldn't buy bi-wires again, but that's just me. I'm actually running MIT bi-wires with MIT jumpers and like the sound much better, therefore wouldn't spend the extra cash for bi-wires again. What speakers are you hooking up?

    Jesse,
that's one of the options that I am considering. It will be used for LSi15 and the Krell 400xi. An overkill, perhaps?

Overkill in the sense of bi-wiring? No, I don't think so. Overkill in the sense of using MIT Shotgun cables, Hell No!

I'm just relating my findings with my gear, your experience will most likely be very different, as different as our gear. You can always get the bi-wires and if you're not happy or just want to play around, get some MIT jumpers later. I think they ran me about $100.00.

BTW, tell Joe I said Hi!

hence the quandry: To Bi or Not To Bi

I suppose the only cure is experimentation. We'll see, I guess. I'll let Joe knows, it could be my ticket for In-Home demo for both versions, who knows?? thanks..

I have no plans to bi-wire anything in this house, at any time.

They look cool, but I don't subscribe to that benefit.

    polkatese,
this may be the time to try a biwire cable , then see if you can get the next level up single run cable with jumpers and see what sounds better. I always wanted to try this and haven't got around to doing it.
I never had my Lsi15's single wired and would like to give that a try. My goal is to demo my Kimber 8tc 8tc shotgun bi wires against a pair of Kimber Monocole X single run with a pair of monocle jumpers.

    Good luck man,

well if you had never tried Krispy Kreme donuts. how would you now if you liked em or not? Or beer or Scotch or whatever your taste may be.

Same with bi wiring. for me. i hear a slight improvement over single wires. Enough so.. that it's worth it. It's a inexpensive enough fix.. why not?

ok, took the plunge, Joe said: Jesse and Mark from Maryland? I supposed you guys are famous! ;)

Mark, thanks again for the offer, I seriously was considering it, but don't want to cause undue burden on you.

I went with the bi-wire, so, we'll see. I will report back.
