a Honda Accord encounters a Chevy Suburban.

It was a great drive home from work earlier tonight. I'm going to take a bunch of pictures tomorrow to eliminate the blurry night-light effect, so I'll give y'all a few to look at.

My seat was snapped back and is at a 45 degree angle and is bent sideways....that'll be replaced I'm sure.

I had JUST realized that I need to get my **** movin on a car purchase too yesterday when I got my car statment and realized that I only had 7 months to go before the lease is over.

Damn dude. You okay? That looks like it would hurt. Hope all is well with you.

Time for that new Chrysler you wanted especially if the other driver was in the wrong. If you get hit in the rear the other driver is at fault right?

Ya.....SHE (lol) was cited and I wasn't. And I COMPLETELY agree, the Chrysler is calling my name.

It's not damaged to the point of being totalled unfortunately.

I'm ok, just have a bit of tightness between my shoulderblades somewhat mid back, but not painful at this point. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

I saw her headlights moving across my rearview so I braced myself because she was NOT going slow.

    OUCH!

Man, spend the $200~ or some such to get checked out, regardless. You're a stout guy, so you SHOULD be fine, but you never know.

That's weird how the collision made your plate 'swirl' like that. It makes me want to do some mushrooms and stand pantless in front of the computer with my Davey Crockett hat on, and various sandwhich condiments at the ready.

Glad you're OK. I had a similar experience at a stoplight when a later slammed into me going 45 MPH as I was just about coming to a complete stop. Luckily she was only driving a Mustang.

I second getting checked out....Sometimes you don't feel the real pain until a few days or even a week after the accident.

At least you're not in too bad of shape. Good luck with the new car.

I got hit today too. Guy slammed into me at an intersection. Nothing like that though. Hardly any damage to my Integra fortunately.

I had a little old lady run a red light on me a couple weeks ago and I creamed her in my work truck (tractor trailer). Even tho it was her fault, since I have a CDL, it goes on as "preventable" which with the 2 tickets Ive gotten this year pretty much finishes my driving carrer.

Two things to remember when in an accident.....always go get checked regardless of how you feel....and when the other insurance company calls, simply say, "See you in court, thanks for calling."

I saw a price for a Camry that was very appealing, but c'mon.........

I never really realized how small my car was until I started traveling and driving more full sized cars and when I came home on the weekends realized that the Accord is just too small for me.

The Chrysler 300 is VERY much my size, and that car is HOT HOT HOT!!!!

F an Acura, or any sport ute (sans Jeep and Range Rover).

My man needs a Sedan. A performance sedan. A lead-sled.

G'head, get your 300 on broham, that's a **** PIMP ride. I ain't riding in it with you though. I was dead sober at the last gathering riding in your Grand AM GT rental, **** that.

Let's just say this, if Brett was going to start doing bolt-on's for his ride, to enhance performance - the first thing he should get are some BIG Brembo's. (In a nutshell, Ferrari brakes for you fuckheads).

Jesse, exactly how many times have you been 'rear-ended'. **** sicko.

Doro, we BOTH had our cheeks in full view (moon), on both the front AND back deck.

You looked like a goat, I looked like a Clydesdale, if I recall the comments correctly.

Acura my foot, I'll put my S-10 up against that rice, any day of the friggin week. And no, you don't get to peek under my hood first.

Acura's are something bald white men that collect anal **** drive. Not that I'm pointing fingers or anything. ;)

I did see that.....but if a Honda Accord is too small for me, I'm sure the hell not gonna try to squeeze my **** into a 3 series......Nice car nonetheless.

The 300 has lines that rage sex-appeal.....NO other car on the road has the pimp/muscle look of that car that I've seen.

I'll add to the "glad you're OK, but get checked out parade"...

Had a Buick knock the rear bumper into the back seat of my Chevy Monza 2+2 (talk about your hot little numbers) back in 1980. I was stopped at a light; he was doing an estimated 50 mph.

I was KO'd for the 2nd time in my life.... But it took a couple weeks for back problems to show.

Having ridden with you when you ran Polk Paul and Al to their hotel in Charleston, I'll also 2nd Russ' brake upgrade recommendation for whatever new ride you choose...
    More later,

Brett, glad to hear you are fine man. sorry to hear you were rear ended. theres no way to avoid a accident like that. ever.

Last time i was rear ended. was about three years ago. some **** came barreling off the freeway exit and I could see in my rear view mirror there was no way he was going to be able to stop in time.

Sure enough. he smacked into me. doing about the same amount of damage as yours. I was sore for a couple days, that's for sure.

Insurance companies expect you to go get checked out. I'll do it every time.. hope you do to.

Case in point. I was sitting in court last month.. and this lady decked this other guy with her purse... in court they aske the guy who got hit if he ever went to his doctor to get checked out. He didn't. His lip was cut and he had a sore neck, but never saw a Dr. for it.

Well to make a long story short.. because he never saw a Dr. the judgement against her was reduced. In court her lawer kept referring to "why" he never seeked medical attention.

anyway BrettMan, best of luck.. and now it's time for a new ride.

Uhh dude, if your seat was that screwed up, that badly then you had better get checked out. If the force of teh accident was enough to break the seat then it was more than enough to do injury. Go get checked out so you know whats going on. Even if you aren't feeling it now, you could end up doing something else that will just worsen the condition.

As far as the car, yeah, those 300C's are ****! Very snazzy car. Wish the wife wanted one instead of a Pontiac G6. I could get into the 300C.

Oh and don't listen to the "brand bigotry" Acura schmacura and the hell with the cookie cutter Camry. You're 100% right, they are too small. Especially for a guy your size. Don't let anyone's mis-informed ramblings assuade your desire to own a 300C. Infact, the only thing I will say is that you should wait a bit for the 300C SRT-8 to come out! That will be a snazzy ride with a HUGE set of gonads to go with it!

Now to stop the pissing contest. Anybody want to put thier ride up? I'll give you 3 car lengths! I'm not gonna take any wagers though. It'd be like taking candy from babies.
