Use of extension cord?

I recently purchased a Pioneer Elite 54-TX, and unfortunately it does not fit in the custom shelf that is sold with my TV. In my TV shelf I have my dvd player, satellite box and power center. My problem now is that due to room constraints I had to put my "Receiver rack" a bit out of the way. I now need an extension cable to reach my power center. Any recommendations? Is this going to negatively impact my recievers performance? The 54-TX does not have a detachable power cable either. Thanks for your help.
My Set-Up:
Sharp LC60E88UN- Display
Yamaha RX-A2020- A/V Receiver
Pioneer Elite BDP-23FD Bluray Player
Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD Player
Velodyne DPS-12 - Sub
Polk RTi8's- Fronts
Polk CSi5 - Center Channel
Polk FXi A4's- rear surrounds
Monster HTS2600 Line Conditioner
PS4

If you get an extension cable for it, make sure it is at least 12 gauge(even 10 gauge would be okay).

Something like this would probably work(lengths are at your discretion:

    10 gauge

    or

    12 gauge

    or

    parts express

I don't know if these are what you are looking for, but I think any of them will compliment the existing wiring in your house.

Why not fabricate one yourself? It'll be cheaper and probably better...
