You dont want to be a mall cop. They are laughing stocks. I did it for a year before I went to the Belk. Mall cops have those stupid uniforms and we had to wear these big old Dudly Do Right hats which pretty much insured no chick would do anything more than point and laugh!
Now loss prevention in a dept store is different. You wear nice clothes and actually are arresting people as opposed to giving directions and telling people they cant park in a particular place.
You usually cant get into loss prevention without experience but mall cops are usually hired off the stree. Just head down to your local mall and you can usually apply at the info desk.
