Hi, I am going to be hooking up my system soon and am wondering if I should use the LFE out instead of the speaker wiring Polk method. I have a Pioneer Elite 54TX AVR and a Polk PSW505 sub. Thanks.
My Set-Up:
Sharp LC60E88UN- Display
Yamaha RX-A2020- A/V Receiver
Pioneer Elite BDP-23FD Bluray Player
Toshiba HD-A2 HD-DVD Player
Velodyne DPS-12 - Sub
Polk RTi8's- Fronts
Polk CSi5 - Center Channel
Polk FXi A4's- rear surrounds
Monster HTS2600 Line Conditioner
PS4

I would say LFE, but hey, that's just me.

Great, I want to use the LFE, makes it much easier. Plus, I spent good money on a subwoofer connect, I'd like to use it.;)

See I would say the opposite go the polk method this would provide you with a better xover setup and tuning

His receiver should have adjustable crossover points. Also if you use the LFE then you can turn down the subwoofer by adjusting the LFE level on the receiver using the remote, instead of having to get up and adjust the sub. ;)

good point as long as his receiver can adjust the xover.if not the polk way would be best

I can adjust the crossover settings on the reciever and the Elite has like 5 settings. What do you think I should set it at, based on my system?
