PSW202 interconnect

Hello, I just bought a PSW202. I found there are no Y-adaptor include in the box. I try to find one from Monster Cable. However I didn't see which one is Y-adaptor for subwoofer. Please help to suggest one to connect the PSW202 and my Onkyo receiver.
Thanks a lot.

you don't need a Y adaptor. you can connect it with just one RCA cable input from your receiver.

it'll work by having just one RCA in on the sub but if you add the Y-adapter, it'll give you anywhere from 3 to 10db in boost.

In contrary to what Monster Cable might want to sell you, any Y-adapter will work. Just depends on what cable you're running as to what adapter to get. Better sub cable, I'd run a better adapter so you don't have as much loss in signal quality.

www.half.com is an often forgotten place to look for cable deals....I've found a few on there that were just plain silly.

    Thanks for the info.

My subwoofer has two RCA input, one is labeled L, one is labeled R. Is that mean if I just use one, I only lost 3 to 10db in boost?
Also the input on my receiver also need a Male interconnect. So it looks like I need 1 male to 2 males. Why all the the Y-adaptor from Monster are 1 female to 2 males? Do I need something else?
    thanks for the help.

If you were to shop for a Y adapter, buy a "RCA Female to 2 RCA Male" adapter.

A Y adapter is not neccessary....just a signal gain for sleepy subwoofers and a minimal gain in db overall.

Get one cheap and sleep well if you are so inclined....but you won't be ending the world if you don't.
