    Well, bring it on!

    Hey, Ill even start it off with the first bash. Last time I was at Tweeter I test drove a MM2104 with a JL 500/1 and compared it to a 12W7 and the Momo sounded BETTER! Yes, I like the smooth sound of the Momo better than the W7. However, once I moved up to the 1000/1 amp it was a whole other ballgame. The W7 not only slammed like a mother but it was very smooth and detailed on double bass sections of my CD. I didnt try the 1000/1 on the Polk cause I didnt really want to have to buy a $120 paperweight.
    But still, that $120 Polk sub keeping up with a $700 JL was pretty impresive!

    Hmmm, lets see what else? I would take the MM6 and MMC6500 over any JL speakers except maybe the XR and the only real advantage the XR has is more midbass but they cant touch the Polks in detail.

    Audiophiles Against Rear Fill and Audiofiles Against the JL Hype

    the XR series has more detail and about the same midbass compared to the mm6s...i cant speak for polks new line

    The last time I did a big comparo at my friendly neighborhood Tweeter, the MMC6500 was second only to the $1300 MB Quart Q in detail.

    I have a "detail test track". Its the last song on Dream Theaters 'Train of Thought' called 'In the Name of God'. At the end of it they are singing old gospel hymns in the background and its very faint. The MMC6500 and the Q picked it up pretty easily. The MB Quart Reference, Bostons (I forget which models) and all 3 model JL's didnt play it nearly as crisp. You could hear singing but with the Polk and Q you could hear the words much clearer.

    Generally you dont find many speakers that put out great midbass AND great detail. The XR as great midbass and doesnt lack detail but its just not in the league of the Momo.

    The W6 is quite awesome but I dont think its as good as a properly powered W7.

    I've got two JL 500/1 one for each of my MM2124 can anyone tell me how much power they actually put out RMS cause I have heard MOMO doesn't handle extra power too well. I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima.

    JL amps are pretty underrated so Ill bet ya from different reviews Ive read on other JL amps that the 500/1 is putting out at least 550. That is way more than the 2124 can handle but just keep your gains adjusted properly and use common sense and you should be ok.

    Besides, most of the problems we keep hearing about is with the daddy Momos and we dont see as many complaints on here about the babies.

    When are you going to grow up? This is rediculous. It was an opinion, and you came in from god knows where, bashing the people on here.
