From the BBC....when Ron Attest was asked what if his appeal to overturn his season-long suspension fails.

No, maybe it's you who should actually read what I wrote when I said "(not all)" meaning not all white people.

Oh, I read it alright. So, from what you're saying it would be ok for me to say that typically black guys are jerks, but if I include a little (not all) then that's ok. You need to check yourself.

O.k. so I guess I need to spell this one out for you. This is what I meant: There are SOME white people that I have encountered in my lifetime who happen to be closed minded. This is a small group of individuals but I happen to run into some of them often especially in corp america in the south. When I said "typical", I meant a typical person who falls into that small category of "close minded white people".

Does that mean that I think that there are no close minded black people? No, that would be ignorant. Close minded people come in all races. I was speaking about one category of close minded people as it applies to the Kobe topic.

If you said that in your experience that most black guys you encounter are jerks then that may be true in your experience. I'd have to walk in your shoes first to judge that. And yes, it would be o.k. IMO for you to express your opinion if that is the way you truly felt.

What in this thread matters the least bit on this particular site?

Stop posting emotions, opinions, thoughts, qoutes, etc and get on with researching new audio gear or helping people with troubleshooting.

Nobody in the end cares about anything said here anyhow, why contribute to the inevitable.

Guys, guys, it is the off topic section. We have a lot of other areas to post about audio.

Pbc, you sure can dance my friend. :D

I await the day when I read a post about a social topic....HERE of all places, that makes me go, HOLY CRAP....he's 100% damn right, I should change my life this very second.

No offense to Gatemplin, or anyone else for that matter, but these threads only do a couple things....

    get members banned
get members mad at each other for a ridiculous reason that typically affects NOONE here in reality
    get members put on ignore
get members who never post, to post something equally useless
get members who like to cause trouble, to post something equally useless
get members to report post to moderator, adding more crap to Justins' inbox
get some freakshow like dorokusai at the wrong time, and then he starts flapping his stupid gums at why gums are flapping about flapping and then he fall down and go boom.

ALA nothing productive but a couple, "I see what your saying...." or "I agree but...." comments.

Party on guys, I gotta add this forum to my "unsubscribe" list.

No offense to the posters, it's just a personal pet peeve.

To say I'm closed minded white guy you couldn't be more retarded. With that remark I'm left to assume your black and I will tell you one time don't pull the race card with me, that is total horseshit and has no place either with me or here!! I just stated the obvious. These little boys are thinking that since they are in sports and very well paid they are allowed to do anything they want to to whom ever they please and still have nothing to worry about because they can still get there huge paychecks and continue to be in the limelight. That mess of a trial was a joke and they put her life up for scrutiney which put a womans trust in the justis system to protect them from that crap in the toilet. I was expecting to hear the "If the d%*k don't fit you must aquit" defence since they were hitting below the belt and still violating not that his DNA was in her shorts or anything. As far as a knee jerk assumption I don't make those, given the time frame and where it happened but his wife is just as big of an **** I hope the ring that cost as mush as my house made it all better.

...ahhh. just when I thought I was done, I get pulled back in. I like how you referred to black men as "little boys". It is also interesting how you made a reference to Johnnie Cochrans' defense in the O.J. trial ("If the glove don't fit, you must acquit"). Dave, it sounds like you are still bitter about the O.J. trial.

Well if it makes you feel better, I think O.J. was guilty.

You said that you "only stated the obvious"? So that must mean that you were in the hotel room with Kobe and the accuser right? Nothing is obvious except that you jumped to a conclusion.

Kobe's wife is an ****? So I guess you know her personally?

You said: "That mess of a trial was a joke and they put her life up for scrutiney which put a womans trust in the justis system to protect them from that crap in the toilet."

It sounds like you are saying that the trial would have been a success if Kobe was convicted. Again, isn't it a possibility that the incident was consensual? We can't say either way because it's her word against his. There is no concrete evidence either way.

Then you say: "With that remark I'm left to assume your black and I will tell you one time don't pull the race card with me, that is total horseshit and has no place either with me or here!!"

LOL. Yes, I am black. Does that change the amount of times that I can respond to your comments?

You'll tell me one time? ...and then what? You sound kinda defensive Dave.
