Do you mean the port tube?

Have you designed this subwoofer using any kind of computer modeling software, or are you just building a square box and placing a driver in it? The reason I ask is, determining the correct diameter & length of the port tube is critical to the performance of the subwoofer.

I would say your best course of action would be to post any information you have on this driver and let the members here take a crack at desinging the box for you.

if you can tell me the model # of the sub & the manufacturer name, i'll run the sub thru WinISD, and design you a quick box.

you don't seem to understand how complicated building a correct enclosure for a subwoofer is. do you know the Theile/Small parameters? this info is required to design the enclosure correctly.

If you don't know any info about the sub, just tell us the brand & model names, and i'll dig up the info for you.

If you don't know any info about the woofer, or can't look it up, just forget about the port. Without the necessary info, it is impossible to even fathom a guess at what the correct diameter & length for a port tube would be.

Just leave the tube out, and go with a sealed box design.

Just another thought, do you have an old enclosure that the woofer came out of? If you do, just duplicate the design of the old box.

If i were you, i too would put it in a sealed box enclosure. If i didn't have one available i would just check out the the thrift stores for speakers that you could put yours into, plug the holes, throw in an old pillow on the backside and let it rip.
