I've got RTi6's for my rears and I've got speaker stands that I bought at Crutchfield's: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-IegWajcipsU/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=051NF36B
The stands recommend the brass points that come with it, but I used the neoprene pads so as not to scratch the bottoms of the speakers.

I'm not sure about wall mounting, as our family room is our HT/Listening room as well and has two windows in the rear of the room, killing the option of wall mounting.....

I also had a PSW-505 but returned it and purchased an SVS..... the 505 was fun but the SVS puts you in the middle of the action....IMO:D
    HT & Music System:
    Receiver - Denon AVR-3805
    DVD/SACD Player - Denon DVD-2900
    Outlaw 770 amp
    Polk LSi 15's up front
    Polk LSiC center
    Polk LSi F/X surrounds
    SVS 16-46 PC+ Subwoofer
    Sony Wega KDF-50WE655

    Acoustic Treatments ^^^

Thanks for the link. Are you referring to the Auralex SonoFlat product on that site? Have you had success with this product? Any pictures? I think this is the type of product I’m looking for from the description. Not sure of texture, color, and size though.

Getting done for the Super Bowl is NOT going to happen. I'm now shooting for the Daytona 500. I'm really only down to picking the colors and selecting the carpet. Do you have any ideas for the colors? I have 2 rows of 3 all black leather seats.

Since you are going front projection, I might mention that you may want to consider staying away from very light colors. I went with a medium grey ceiling (flat to reduce reflection) and a darker grey for walls (satin) with burgundy carpet. Take a trip to a good theater and notice that they use black or dark ceilings and dark drapes surrounding the screen etc. I would also visit AVS Forum and look through their 1000s of members theaters for color schemes.

I would set your projector up if you haven't already and check out how much reflected light you get from your ceiling and see if you can live with it. It is easier to change before furnishing and carpeting.

Also, don't forget you have to get cabling to your projector and if you are celing mounting, you have made it more difficult by enclosing this already. You don't want to ruin the "pro" look of the room with cabling and wiring running outside the walls. If you haven't checked out the "throw" of the projector you are buying, you could end up wiring it more than once, too.

The construction work you are doing looks top shelf!!!!!!!

Just my experience and 2 cents,

    Dennis

I agree with Dennis. Stay with the darker colors. For the carpet I would go with a burgundy or maroon. Maybe charcoal gray on the walls, or switch them around. Those two colors would look good with black seats. IMO That should kill it.

Thanks for the advice. I Decided on Medium Flat Gray for the ceiling and Flat Black for the screen wall. A Deep Purple for the side walls and an almost Bronze color for the trim and crown. I'll post pictures when complete.

Dennis I was thinking ahead as far as cabling an ran 3" PVC piping in my ceiling to two different places to accommodate most any projector out there. I used the projector calculator on projector central for distance determination.

    Thanks

Great! I got that same light fixture in my downstairs main hall. Looking good my man! Keep it up and you will be done soon. Are you familiar with rope lights? I just put some around the top of my HT room for dim lighting and to give that it that theater feel. Taking time will make for a better product in the end. Take your time Yobear. Keep us updated, and post it all on the System Showcase.

That room looks awesome! I know that many people say that a theater room doesn't add value to a house, but I am in the belief that as family values continue to grow, this type of room will be very welcomed by alot of buyers looking for a house that includes such a room in a turnkey mode.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have my HT,

Very nice!! Hats off to ya!
Have you considered moving the mains inboard a little? I bet you'll like the effect after you move them away from the walls just a tad.
